How different colours affect human emotions and behaviour

Today has been an amazing day and I am thrilled to be part of this community and share my thoughts. The day is bright, sunny and colourful and that makes me feel very cheerful.

It really is true,🤔 colours do influence our moods and opinions about things. I think it's a natural thing for us humans.

Well in today's blog post, I will be diving right into the interesting world of colours and the profound impact they have on our emotions and behaviour.

We as humans have a deep connection with colours. Colours are what make our world the beautiful landscape we love so much. It is no secret that different colours have the power to provoke different feelings in us. Colours influence our mood.

Warm colours

You already know that warm colours such as red, yellow and even orange are often very energetic and can easily catch the attention of onlookers. Red is often the sign of danger.

If you have ever been in a factory, never touch the machine with the red danger sign. Believe me, red is for love but not at that time 😂.

Also the colour red in a way is able to raise a person's heart rate a bit and creates that strange feeling of urgency. Have you ever seen a person come out of the house completely dressed in red. You can't take your eyes off of them as if you didn't see anything 😂. The attention it grabs and sense of urgency makes red colours excellent colours for promotions and sales in business.

My favourite colour is blue. Blue is basically known as the universal colour. If you want to see how much blue has dominated the world, it's very easy: go outside and look up. Yes, I mean the sky or better yet, go to the beach and look directly at the water or the ocean. Blue is everywhere guys😁.

Colours like blue and green are very relaxing. They always give me a relaxing feeling. The only problem is that mixing those two colours is very difficult to get right. I don't recommend wearing a blue outfit with green shoes. Some people might prefer it, but I think it's not exactly a fashionable choice for most people. Have you ever been to a spa? You're going to see a lot of green and blue there.

One area where colour choice is very important is in branding and product marketing. For example, a perfume company that uses black or gold for packaging will look more luxurious and elegant than one that uses colours such as green or yellow.

Human beings judge the quality of a product by how they see it, before they even consider tasting it. I also discovered that many food chains use colours such as red or yellow for their logos. The reason is very simple. Those colours are some of the colours that stimulate the human appetite. You look at the pizza box and you see the red pizza maker's logo in the middle. Then you just want to open the box quickly and eat it all 😂.

Well, where we were born and raised can also influence our emotional response to certain colours. For example, in my country, black is for mourning the dead, however, in some Asian countries, white is the colour for mourning the dead. So you can imagine the difference in response when I see someone wearing all black and when an Asian person sees the same thing.

White in my culture is a colour of victory and also represents purity. We wear white when we want to celebrate victory.

There are some colours that also have this general representation. For example, everyone considers the colour gold to represent luxury and expensive things. Basically it is because of our value for the real gold stone.

In conclusion, I guess what I am trying to say is that colours really send messages to people, but in a much quieter way. Colours can determine our mood and influence our decisions. I always buy a black perfume because it seems more expensive and of higher quality. 😁 Although that shouldn't be the case it's just my preference..
