Hello all Splinterlands friends,
This is my entry for the Battle Mage Secrets challenge from the Splinterlands team.
This week's theme is the Holy Protection ruleset, so I would like to share a battle with it.

The battle ruleset

  • 41 mana cap
  • Ruleset - Keep your Distance and Holy Protection
  • Splinter - Only Water can be used

Normally, I prefer to use Zaku summoner or monsters with Blast ability to clear the Holy protection effect of enemy's monsters. The 2nd choice will be monsters with Double strike ability. However, only Water splinter could be used in this battle and it gave me a little choice.

My lineup

Summonerimage.pngKEYLA FRENDUL - to have +1 Speed in order to give the early attacks and +1 armor to protect my monsters
1st positionimage.pngVENARI MARKSRAT - I sacrificed this rat to give the additional strength to Djinn Oshannus monster
2nd positionimage.pngDJINN OSHANNUS - This is my main attacker in this battle. He has a high speed. With the additional support from Venari Marksrat, he can evade the attack from enemy, including magic monsters with his Phase ability
3rd positionimage.pngRIVER HELLONDALE - He can revive Venari Marksrat and give more strength to **Djinn Oshannus ** with Resurrect ability
4th positionimage.pngMERDAALI GUARDIAN - To heal Djinn Oshannus and let him stand longer in the battle
5th positionimage.pngSWAMP SIPTTER - a good attacker with 3 range damage and Repair ability to protect better Oshannus
6th positionimage.pngAXE MASTER - to clear Holy Protection effect with Double Strike ability

  • My enemy chose the magic monsters in this battle with support from 2 Tank Heal monsters. Its strategy is to put 2 high-health monsters in the frontline and 2 Tank Heal monsters will heal them from the backline. It's a very good strategy.
  • Luckily, I chose Axemaster and Swamp Spitter which are not affected by the Void ability and I can deal full damage to enemy's Oshannus. If I only chose magic monsters in this battle, I could lose this game
  • The Phase ability is very useful. My Oshannus could evade a lot of attacks and he still can survive until the end game.
  • After I cleared up 2 high-health monsters at the frontline, the game became easier and I finally finished after 9 rounds

That's all for now and hope you enjoy this battle.
I would love to see your battle with the Healed out ruleset in the Splinterlands community.

This is a well done strategy. I strive for an Oshannus in level 2, as I hate being confronted with it myself. Being busy in RL still kept me from visiting your recent EOS report, so the more I wanted to visit with you here shortly. Right on! !invest_vote

Oshannus is quite cheap at the moment and you can grab him from the market :)

Maybe you remember it's a Soulbound card and it's not available on the market :)
Nice to hear you already had him in your deck.
Your deck definitely is stronger with him.
Nice weekend!
