You might want to use #PeakD altogether in the meantime, though you would miss out on #Ecency Points. 🤔 !PGM

A good compromise for now would be publishing your first 5 comments per day on Ecency to get a big portion of Points that you can get for the day, then the rest on PeakD for better frontend stability. 🤔 The first 5 comments you make on the Ecency frontend will give you 21.67 Points, while the 6th to 16th comments will give you only 18.37 Points. 🤓 The 16th comment still gives you Ecency Points, but it is only 0.005. 😅 !LUV

In the end I'm doing the comments in the first place for the Ecency points, right? So it doesn't make a lot of sense that I'd do it over Peakd... On the other hand you're right with doing the first comments over Ecency and the rest over Peakd... I'll keep it in mind in case Ecency woud fail again... !wine !LUV

Even if you could still publish comments (and posts) using the #Ecency frontend while the Ecency server is having problems (which may make you spend more time and effort trying to publish), such problems might also cause you not to earn Ecency Points anyway until they get fixed. 🤔😅 !wine !LUV

I think apart from Ecency points I haven't been earning on the upvotes or rewards somehow. Anyway, we'll see in about 10 days when I can compare with another 2 weeks... !wine !LUV

Do you think it might be a good idea to sell part of them? (And compound them in my HBD account with 20% interest) I'm trying to boost daily, but very few times my posts are getting boosted... !LOL !LUV

It is difficult to sell #Ecency Points directly. 🤯 There are already many Ecency users who are trying to sell their Points. 🤔

If you ever managed to find a buyer, they would be willing to pay only roughly 30% to 50% of its price compared to its price directly from Ecency when they still used to sell Points. 🤔💸🤓

Oh is that so? This would mean that people wanting to boost and promote have enough Ecency points on their own?... That's a pity, I keep on trying to boost, but really rarely it works out fine... !wine

I just noticed that #Ecency has discontinued selling Ecency Points 16 months ago because of complaints that selling Points for Boosting is seen by some Hive users as vote selling/buying. 🤯

The reason why I didn't see it before is because it isn't announced on the Points page. 😅

The #Ecency users that support the Boosting feature say that approving Boosting Requests is done on a case-to-case basis, where the chance of approval depends on the following: 🤓 !LUV

  1. quality of post or (long) comment requested for Boosting
  2. amount of Points utilized for the Boosting request
  3. current Voting Power of Ecency's main Hive account

That's unlike certain curation bots where a bot command can be used to curate a post (or comment) in exchange for Hive Power or Hive Engine staked token delegation and/or payment in HIVE, HBD, or Hive Engine tokens. 😏 !HUG

What I wanted to say is that I don't think that the #Ecency Boosting feature is a form of vote-buying, because the curation is a reward (which can be attempted to be redeemed with Ecency Points) rather than a sale. 🤓 !LUV !HUG

#Ecency used to donate all HIVE and HBD proceeds from selling Ecency Points to the Hive fund (when they were still selling Points), but that wasn't enough not to get accused of "selling votes". 🙁 !PGM !LUV

Even if the #Ecency team stopped selling Points (and just continued awarding them to active users of their frontend), the supply of the Points is still (much) greater than the demand (primarily because of the low price of the HIVE token right now which drains the Ecency Hive account's Voting Power more quickly). 🤔

The number of Boosting Requests is heavily affected by the price of HIVE (as well as the number of users requesting Boosting instead of Promotion), such that if the price of HIVE doubles from its price right now, the Ecency curation team will be able to approve Boosting Requests roughly twice as much as now. 🤓
