Happy hive power up day everyone! It's also three tune Tuesday supported by @ablaze , thanks for your continued efforts for the weekly event. What a busy day! I have been powering up all month long in smaller increments but just powered up by an additional ten today.

Now onto Three Tune Tuesday! Last week was some Blondie, The Power Station, and Billy Idol all covering Bang a Gong (Get It On). This week I think I'll try some rock n roll... and all three originating in in Los Angeles, California.

First up a classic band I've shared before and needs little introduction: Guns N Roses.
Plagued by drugs and infighting throughout their years on top but still managed to write some amazing music. For many years singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash refused to talk to or see one another because of hard feeling over Slash's past drug abuse. Slash finally cleaned up his act after nearly dying from chronic drug use. Eventually they reconciled their differences after being inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. If you saw "Terminator 2" you've heard this one before: "You Could Be Mine"

This band from LA had their fair share of drug and alcohol problems too. Poison had a string of hits throughout the 1980's. One little know fact about them, Slash the guitarist for Guns N Roses auditioned to be their guitarist but was passed over in favor of C.C. DeVille. Eventually DeVille's drug problem had him thrown out the band. Had they gone with Slash the same might have happened too! Fame, ego, money, and drugs don't mix at all. DeVille later rejoined the band and they still tour to this day. Here's "Talk Dirty To Me":

Last but not least another LA band Motley Crue. Legendary for their drug and alcohol use and being the ultimate bad boys of rock. It's rumored that those wild years are keeping them out of the Rock Hall of Fame. Bassist Nikk Sixx overdosed on heroine multiple times and nearly died. Singer Vince Neil's drunk driving killed Razzie, the drummer of the band Hanoi Rocks. Trashing hotel rooms, throwing televisions out of hotel room windows, and running naked in hotel hallways were among their hobbies. Of course they were usually high, drunk, or both at the time. But they sure had a good time doing it! Here's "Dr. Feelgood"

I hope you enjoyed my three song medley in the genre rock n roll today, okay, it was heavy metal... I guess the moral of todays TTT is fame, money, ego, and drugs don't mix! But the music sure is a lot of fun to listen too. Feel free to leave comments or questions below, and thanks for stopping by!

Oh man, those are some great songs. I got to see Poison and Crue on their stadium tour a year or so ago. They just didn't sound like they used to. Def Leppard was amazing, but the rest of them have definitely lost a step. Same thing with Guns and Roses. I listened to a recent live show of theirs and Axel sounded horrible. I prefer to listen to them when they were in their prime. Nice job on the power up!

My sister went last summer and was pissed she missed Joan! How was she live? Just as rough as the bro’s? Or a little better?

We actually only saw the last song. Traffic down to and around the venue was heavier than we expected and then the security process at the stadium was horrible, so by the time we got in and to our seats she only had two songs left. She did sound better than the fellas though, minus Def Leppard.

I agree old Axl just ain't what he used to be. Def Leppard have held up much better in concert though it's been a few years since I last had the chance to go!
