The Sexy Silver Samoan Mermaid Princess of the Sea!

On my last trip to the local coin store I picked up several cool items, one was the Queen's Beast Lion of England which I shard the other day. Another one I picked up was a Samoan coin and a couple others. Taking pictures of proof like surfaces is always hard with a phone and was done in the car because the lighting was right. The pictures came out OK except my messy paperwork was in background so I had to edit it out. I used Adobe, but it has a hard time telling the capsule from the background. Either that or I have yet to master Adobe, which is probably more likely...

This one caught my eye because of the great details. Of course the Scottsdale mint produces these for the Samoan government, and they always produce really nice coins. This coin is the Mermaid Princess of the Seas which is part of their mermaid series. I haven't picked up any out of the series until now, and honestly probably wouldn't have bought it until I saw it in person in the shop. It's just a beautiful coin! I know a couple people from #silvergoldstackers have shared this one already, but have a look:

About this coin:

Year: 2022
Country: Samoa
Mint: Scottsdale Mint
Country of production: USA
Total minted 15,000
Denomination: 2 Tala
Diameter: 39 mm
Composition: 999 fine silver
Weight: one troy ounce

I'm definitely going to have to make a point to pick up some more Scottsdale mint productions, they're always really nicely done. They still sell these direct from Scottsdale mint so you can pick on up there. I paid a few bucks more because I was at a coin shop, but that's ok. Thanks for looking and feel free to leave any questions or comments below.

And please remember that collecting coins and stacking gold/silver is a great hobby but definitely not for everyone. You can lose money and you have to research before you make any purchase. Before you spend your hard earned money always do your due diligence by researching what you are buying. I am not a financial advisor and this isn't financial advice, I'm just a guy who loves coins and gold/silver stacking!

That is a great design, mermaids are timeless!

So it is best to buy direct from a mint, if you want the cheapest price?

Definitely, I paid a little more since I picked it up at a shop but it's a cool coin so I didn't mind.

Ah ok, I must admit I see coins advertised all the time from British mints and never really looked at them properly..

Some are better than others, Scottsdale Mint puts out some really nice quality coins. The Royal Mint does too!

The Scottsdale mint produces some beautiful coins, and this Samoa 2 Tala is one of them!😀
Lol Proof like surfaces are always a challenge, I usually end up throwing away more photos and I use!😇

I love their stuff! I always have trouble getting decent pictures of proofs, just like you I end deleting 5 for every 1 worth keeping! 😂

I couldn't pass it up in the shop! I have a question for you, I've noticed lately you've been really increasing your upvotes. Any tips? I need to start improving mine as well.

I love this one, to be honest, I think my daughter would love it even more as it's a mermaid haha. You're making me think about buying silver again :)

Buying silver can be addictive! I love the mermaid, I'm going to have to pick up some more from the mermaid coin series.
