Three Tune Tuesday, A Little More Hard Rock!

On my last three tune Tuesday post I said I might due some more punk this week. This morning I just felt more in the mood for some hard rock, so I'm going with it! Today I think I'll share some older stuff. Black Sabbath fronted by Ozzy Osbourne is always a great way to start. The band came out of Birmingham, UK in the late 1960's. Many bands credit them as a major influence in their music including Metallica, Guns N Roses, and Alice In Chains. Technically this song is way before my time (released before I was born) but I still love it! Paranoid was written because they had room for one more short song on their album. In the span of less than half an hour they wrote the entire song, and it has become one of their best known and recognized songs. Have a listen:

It's hard to talk about hard rock without mentioning AC/DC. They have been a prolific band that has been writing music, recording, and touring for nearly fifty years now. They originated in Australia and have become one of the best known and loved rock bands of all time. Here I share a song from the from their album Back in Black on their first outing with new lead singer Brian Johnson after the death of Bon Scott.

And to finish off I thought we should do an American band coming out of Houston, Texas in the late 1960's and early 1970's. ZZ Top have been an iconic band known for their hard rock/ blues sound and their long beards. This is Sharp Dressed Man, have a listen:
