Assets Versus Paychecks, Who Wins?

What is the difference between being rich and being wealthy? I'm sure you've heard this question before and probably already gotten a good enough answer for it.
When you're broke and you see someone in the middle class drive pass you with their Mercedes Benz, you look in awe and wish to be like them.
Yes, they have more than you do but nowadays they're not exactly having as much fun with their lifestyle as you may think.
A broke guy hanging on by a thread, living from paycheck to paycheck has no time for himself, has no freedom to do anything he wants, go anyway he wants to go and has no wealth to pass on to his children.
If that's the way we measure broke people or poor people then, I've got some news for ya. A lot of people in the middle class are poor.
The reason I say that is, what I just described as a poor person can easily be the description I give to a middle class man today.
Yes, a man could make $100K or $200K a year and because of his lifestyle, would need to keep working to keep living that lifestyle.
They need the job they do in order to survive. They may even be under more pressure in life than a man making less than 10 percent what they make.
If you make $200K a year off of your active job and your expenses for that year is lets say $195K, you know you need that job to survive.
If taking free time and a vacation is going to cost you a lot of that money, you're forced to turn down that vacation. If calling in sick would make you look inefficient at the work place and you stand a chance of getting fired, you then have to pretend you're fine and work with the sick body.
Yes you drive a Mercedes Benz to work but you feel very miserable on the inside and you're doing everything to support your family and yourself. This is the life of someone making $200K a year.
If you say to yourself, well, I'll get more work done and try to make more money, you put yourself in a deeper rabbit whole without realizing what the real problem is.
The issue is not about making more money, it's a matter of how you use the money. I would say theoretically, someone making a million or 10 million dollars a year could also be living this kind of life. They look rich but aren't really rich.
You're playing the wrong game here if your idea is to make more money to elevate yourself.
The wealthy people that could be on vacations and still make way more money than they made last year are playing an entirely different game.
They understand one very important word and this word sets the wealthy apart from the rich.
The word is ASSETS.
The Middle class guy that makes $200K a year working, relies only on his work and effort to make that money and so he works to live.
The wealthy don't live that way. Their Assets support their lifestyle. When I say assets in this context, it's any system, business or investment you don't need to actively pay too much attention to for it to generate revenue or profits.
It's either a business you set up with people working in or an investment you make that's constantly generating money for you. The idea is that, the asset doesn't need too much of your involvement, I'm not saying not any involvement at all.
The first goal for anyone wanting to live a wealthy life is to make sure your basic needs, bills and necessities are paid for by assets you own and not paid by a job you do.
The rat race has no end, you can't expect to be wealthy by working your way to wealth. You need to build more assets and let the assets take care of you.
People with assets have the time, the freedom and what to pass on to their children when they are no more. You can't pass on your certificate or masters degree, but you can pass on your business and your financial wisdom.
The middle class of today are broke because their mentality is making cash and living off of the cash they make. They have little to no assets.
Change your thinking, Get Assets.
