"For a long time, I thought no one needed my music..."
I think music of every type is needed by someone... The trick is that person finding your stuff, whether on Hive, Bandcamp, Beatport, Spotify, or wherever. But, the more places you are, the higher the odds! I recently stumbled across an album on Bandcamp that was released in 2018, but I'm just now learning about the group (because "so many musicians/groups, so little time..."). They were happy someone downloaded their album after so many years and sent me a "Thank You" note in email. So, there can be long-lasting benefits of flooding the market in many places; maybe Hive will help get you there! 🙂
Love your cartoon up there in the post! 😁
Thank you for your words. They are encouraging. I was on Spotify, researching what's popular now, and came to the conclusion that I won't be able to write "very popular music," but I really believe that my music will find its listeners.
