Are you an expert?

It is just extremely funny to see Twitter and other social media platforms in which influencers suddenly turn into experts in all sorts of topics. For a long time, we have all been debating COVID and whether or not the Pfizer, the Moderna, or maybe a Chinese Sinopharm vaccine is good, or if it is harmful, and whether or not this is all financed by Bill Gates in order for him to get even richer.

In other words, we have a world packed with experts in COVID-19... But now the numbers are decreasing and so all those extremely smart people are taking their credentials and expertise in order to comment on other things of great importance... like the Russia/Ukraine situation.

Of course, we are all allowed to have our own opinions, and I am trying to have my own opinion concerning the conflict between Russia and Ukraine myself. As a result, I have been reading quite a lot about it recently and I am trying to understand the present seen in the light of the past.

But, that doesn't really make me an expert... and I definitely don't try to claim to be one!

My suggestion is, let the experts be the experts, but at the same time, do your uttermost to understand what is going on, ask questions, and listen to the answers. With time, we might get a better picture of what is actually going on! But, claiming to understand a situation and have big insight after hearing about something for a couple of days, is simply a bit too brave!
