Lost Fund Due To Transaction Mistakes

Today was really a mixed day for me even though I try to make it lively a little bit, something really happened and it really make me have some kind of rethink about my crypto journey so far and some loss made just because of my mistake or negligence. At times little mistakes can really cost someone a lot, well it happened once in a blue moon and at times you just have to accept your fate since some mistakes are bound to happen.

I was somehow having this broke feeling since I decided to save more this year instead of spending and unless I need the morning urgently, I always make sure I don't sell and also my account balance have to be in zero to stop me from unnecessary spending, so today I need some cash and was somehow tired in the after but still decided to convert some hbd and send to the exchange I do withdraw to naira and somehow I sent this fund without using any memo then I slept off immediately, only to woke up some hours later after I remember I'm suppose to make the withdraw to my bank account, login to the exchange and found nothing there, came to my wallet and saw the mistake, apparently without the right memo it won't deliver. So I decided to contact the customer care since it is an exchange have been using more than 3yrs now but their reply was really shocking (Fund lost without memo), I just thank my luck it wasn't much at all.

while making jest of myself because of the mistake, I remember the once I did during the bull run while in a church services and was trying to make some urgent transaction, I thought I copied the right bep20 address without knowing I copy a smart contract address instead which the person sent to me before to run some airdrop on pancakeswap then, boom I sent 150$ to the address only for us not to see it again and I had to cross check and notice it was a smart contract address. In crypto, people make such mistakes, sending funds to different wallet or forgetting to put the right memo which at times are really important but it is what it is, once such transaction is confirmed and there is mistake, then it is lost forever. At times I just wish even the receiver can send such fund back and not think it is santa that decide to share free gift 😂

There are lot of such scenario during the Nft market era, some nft holders mistakenly listing their nft's for cheap price and before they can blink their eyes, it is already sold to someone scraping the market for cheap things, this kind of transaction are always fast that you will start thinking there are market bot which are somehow programmed to pick up some cheap sell orders immediately, such people at times do come to twitter space to rant about their mistakes and loss and it is always painful when you know you can't do anything about it, just wondering how the receiver will be feeling or popping champagne for getting free cheap things.
