Tattoo An Act Of Engraving

Back in the days when I was way younger, I do see tattoo as a work of arts, I really love it mainly because I love arts work and there is this wow feeling I do get when I see it nicely draw, It breathe creativity especially when drew by a professional, tattoos have been in existence from ages just like arts but not that common, it is also one of our culture (yoruba), it is drawn based on many reasons, some use it to keep memories, some for fashion and some draw it to keep their identity, you will rarely see an old lady from those old generation without having any tattoo on their body.
There was a movie i watched where they had to kept some messages as secret because if revealed or fell in the hand of bad people, it can lead to that particular city destruction so they had to secretly find 7 children, tattoo different part of the messages on them then sent them to various locations where they kept them save and hidden. Nowadays, what still give me that feeling about tattoo is when I see it on this professional players or should I say people abroad mostly, nicely done but I do wonder why having their full body filled up with tattoo, it use to do me one kind, it got to the extent that I saw some people turning themselves to alien with tattoo and painting some dangerous part of their body like the eyes all because they aren't satisfy with the color they have or just because they want to be different.
Nowadays, people now see tattoo's as bad thing especially nowadays parent, I can't really blame then, the bad guys gave them such bad views, they believe once you have tattoo on you, you are either a cultist or into a bad group, you dare not have an ink on you, if my dad see it on any of his children, he will beat life out of such person. There was a time I witness injustice about people who drew tattoo, I was at the shop that very day opposite the university campus, I think some authorities alerted the soldiers about some cultists who were disrupting the peace due to their fight, so that day the soldiers were around that day but since there is no way to identify anyone as a cult member, they started targeting random guys, if you pass where they were, dressing anyhow or sagging, they ask then to kneel down first, while discipline them with belt then they target those with tattoos on their body.
They beat some guys in my presence, I started pitying them, they told them to roll in the gutters which was smelling, off their cloth while discipline them, big guys were crying that day, tattoo is permanent and can't be clean if not those guys would have clean it immediately. I had to zero my mind on drawing one on my body, it give this bad character look especially to police people, if they stop you and you have one, there is no explanation you will give them to justify yourself, it will give them more reason to extort you, in short, in this part of the world, tattoo is partially accepted unless you are popular or from a rich family.

It is unfortunate when in a society you have no power over your own body and are judged by appearances and not by merit.
We appreciate your participation in the initiative for our anniversary, however, I must remind you that by community standards, you must place a minimum of 3 photos per post, so that you keep in mind for future publications.
Very sad the experience of those people for having tattoos, and you for seeing those things.
Incredible story about the tattooed children, it's a good idea to hide the secrets. Thanks for sharing your opinions. @valchiz
Sadly we have a long road ahead when it comes to society and judgement.
