Bis jetzt habe ich die Twitter API verwendet, um das Splinterlands-Quiz auszuwerten und die Liste der Teilnehmer auf Twitter zu erhalten, die auf meinen Tweet geantwortet haben.
Seit gestern hat das nicht mehr geklappt und ich habe eine kryptische Fehlermeldung bekommen, obwohl laut Developer Portal alles passt. Ich habe ein Projekt und App genauso wie beschrieben angelegt, aber jetzt funktioniert der Zugriff nicht mehr, was sehr ärgerlich ist.
Anfang des Jahres hat Twitter angekündigt, den kostenlosten API-Zugriff einzustellen und das ist jetzt anscheinend tatsächlich passiert.
Laut Dokumentation verlang Twitter jetzt $100 im Monat, um die Antworten auf eigene Tweets auslesen zu können. Aber das immer noch auf die letzten Tage beschränkt und Rate-limitiert.
Sorry, da mach ich nicht mit. Überlege die Gewinnspiele in Zukunft nur noch auf Hive zu machen und nicht mehr auf Twitter.
Was sagt ihr dazu, dass Twitter den kostenlosen, Basic-Zugang zur Twitter API eingestellt hat?

Until now, I used the Twitter API to evaluate the Splinterlands quiz and get the list of participants on Twitter who replied to my tweet.
Since yesterday this didn't work anymore and I got a cryptic error message, although according to the Developer Portal everything is fine. I created a project and app exactly as described, but now the API no longer works, which is very annoying.
Earlier this year, Twitter announced it was discontinuing free API access, and apparently that has actually happened now.
According to documentation, Twitter now charges $100 a month to read replies to one's own tweets. But that's still limited to recent days and it's rate-limited.
Sorry, I'm not going along with that. Thinking about doing the quiz only on Hive in the future and not on Twitter any more.
What do you think about that the free, basic access to the Twitter API has been shut down?

Einen positiven Nebeneffekt hat die Einstellung der kostenlosen APIs, es ist auch eine Hürde für Spam Bots :)
Ja das stimmt auch. Aber warum wird es nicht kommuniziert. Man kommt sich vor als ob man ein kleines Kind wär.
API-Zugang wurde einfach ohne Vorwarnung abgedreht, keine Notification auf Twitter oder E-Mail an die Developer, unprofessionell find ich.

Das ist ja Mist. Aber vielleicht bekommen ja Twitter Blue Abonnenten Zugriff auf deren API für weniger als $100.
Hab ich mir auch gerade gedacht, das wäre tatsächlich ein Anreiz Twitter Blue zu abonnieren, aber leider nicht in Blue enthalten.
Schade das wäre ja noch verständlich gewesen, das man es in Blue integriert.

$100/month?!! Whoa! Earlier today I simply, and without paying, scrolled down a page to see all the comments I had ever made to anyone elses post. (Before I found the search function and used that instead.) Took some time to get to the bottom, but that's to be expected. There were quite a few after all! I could have picked another page to scroll through, all the comments and replies others posted to me, or all my posts. Or all somebody else's posts
So get your stuff over here to Hive! Oh wait, you're here already and know all this... then bring any Twitter friends, I guess

Krass, 100 $ im Monat ist nicht wenig, da fände ich ja noch gut wenn es auch Api Pakete gäbe ala 10k Anfragen für 10$.
Das wäre ja für die sinnvoll, die nur paar Anfragen im Monat haben.
Tja da ist Hive besser, abfragen kann man kostenlos druchführen.
So API-Pakete, wo jeder Zugriff vlt ein paar Cent kosten würde, wäre eine Idee, aber $100 im Monat machen für mich überhaupt keinen Sinn, wenn ich im Monat nur zwei-drei Abfragen machen will. Damit macht sich Twitter bei Entwicklern extrem unbeliebt.

It sucks to hear but I knew it was coming. Elon did announce it and it does suck to see that it's rate limited. I don't do anything specifically with Twitter so I don't know but I do think it sucks to see them paywall information on the internet.
Den Fehler, dass ich zeitweise keine Tweets mit Bildern mehr absetzen konnte, hatte ich auch. Aber das mit der API ist natürlich noch ärgerlicher.
