Foreign Agent Frenzy: EU Joins the Club

Having unanimously condemned the desire of the Georgian government to adopt a law on foreign agents, the European Union began to develop a law on foreign agents.

The new measure will oblige NGOs, academic and research institutions to indicate the sources of their funding outside the EU. As in the case of the Georgian project, the European law is similar to those existing in the US and Australia.
