The Creator of Memes - A New NFT

I've been playing with NightCafe Image Generator and decided to mint a few of the images as NFTs on the HIVE Meme NFT Market

For today's meme, I thought I would create a image called "The Creator of Memes." The image shows a person crouched between dumpsters creating memes on his laptop.

It is common for people to create memes that trash one's political opponents. The idea of this #meme is that, while the Creator of Memes trashes opponents, he fails to see that he is living on an ideological trash pile.

I am selling 4 editions of this meme for 250 MEME. 250 MEME currently costs about one US Penny.

While I realize that a penny is big finance, financing is not available.

Creating NFTs on HiveMe.Me

I would like to publish a dozen or so NFTs so that the HIVE Meme market looks more compelling.

You can see the NFTs I have for sale in my NFT Gallery. Currently, there are four.

I've been struggling to find the right price. HiveMe.me charges 600 MEME to create an NFT plus 100 MEME for each edition. My initial idea was to set the price to be the cost of creation plus 10%. I tried different numbers of editions.

My current thinking is that I will create 5 editions. I will keep the fifth edition for my personal use and sell the other four for the price of creation. The cost to create 5 editions is 1000. I keep one. 1000/4 = 250 MEME.

What Does One Do With an Edition?

Buying an edition gives the rights to use the image on a HIVE post.

After using the image, one could try reselling it at a higher price.

If You Can't Sell It; What Makes You Think I Could?

The fatal flaw of the general NFT market is that standard NFTs don't increase in value. They seem to pile up on one's gallery.

Moneyback Guarantee

Because of this, I decided to add a money back guaratee. I will buy back editions for the price that I sold the edition.

So, lets say you tried reselling the edition and failed. All you have to do is list the image at my original sale price. I will buy it back when I have enough.

NightCafe and the NFT Market

When I publish a piece on Night Cafe, I can add a link for selling an NFT.

A primary reason that I am creating NFTs is to justify the creation of links to HIVE.

Here is the image I published yesterday. There is a link called "Buy NFT." That link goes to a page in the HIVE-O-Sphere.

When I publish the image above, I will add a link to this page.

I Need MEME to Create More NFTs

I started unstaking MEME so that I can create new NFTs. If you like this project; you could buy an edition or two.

I promise that I will buy back the images at the original sale price when you tire of them.

My NFT Gallery lists all of the memes that I have for sale.

Are You Yellow?

Night Cafe has daily challenges. Today's challenge is the term "yellow." I thought of a gunslinger asking a cowboy: "Are You Yellow?" and produced an image of a yellow cowboy riding of into a yellow desert as a response.

Thanks,

I welcome feedback on the creations. The Meme Tribe is unhappy with the works, let me know. I want to create a dozen or so images so that the NFT gallery is more compelling.

This is the transaction.

I forgot that the NFT gallery took a cut of each transaction. My hope is that I will be able to recoup the cost of minting the NFTs. So, the next time that I publish I will create 5 editions and sell 4 editions at 240.

Thanks for using hiveme.me to mint your NFT. It helps to support MemeHive.

I understand that the charge for minting NFTs may seem high but we've kept it as low as we can. A little known fact about Hive tribes that offer NFT minting is that each edition of an NFT minted costs the tribe 0.004 BEE. The account MemeHive uses for NFT minting is @meme.nft. So a Hive-Engine smart contract charged MemeHive 0.016 BEE for minting your 4 editions of that great meme and that BEE was sent to @null to be burned.

We're both paying so there's no free lunch.😁 Hopefully the upvotes from #memehive and @nomeme4u helps.

It is common for people to create memes that trash one's political opponents. The idea of this #meme is that, while the Creator of Memes trashes opponents, he fails to see that he is living on an ideological trash pile.

But remember the words of Sigmund Freud, "The first human who hurled an insult instead of a stone was the founder of civilization."

I'll always chose meme over rock to the head.😁
