The hive marketing roadshow I did on Saturday brought 5 newbies to hive on Monday
Few days ago, I announced how I and @michael700 marketed our forthcoming hive event which took place on Monday the 8th day of September 2025 at happy customer supermarket. Now, let me share how the event went.
My prior activity
That very morning, I placed call over to all my friends that I've invited earlier during the roadshow to remind them of the scheduled hive presentation. They're 6 friends in number. Reaching happy customer supermarket which is our event center, about 3 of them was already seated. Later, the 4th person called for me to come and pick her up. Few minutes later, the last person called and I also climbed down stairs to pick her up. That's a total of 5 newbies. One of them didn't meetup but promised to be present next Monday.
The event proper
The speaker @fokusnow addressed the audience and started by making brief introduction about hive. He also mentioned the difference between web3 and web2 Blockchain. Furthermore, he placed a sharp contrast between hive and other web3 blockchain platforms. For example, hive is versatile. Irrespective of your skill, culture, tribe or language, you must find a place fitting for you. Not just that, with hive, you are sure your content is yours.
Done with lectures, we both (myself and fokusnow) worked hand-to-hand in making sure their registration was successful. While he was busy processing their registration and approval, myself was also busy downloading both keychain and ecency apps for them and onboarding their keys,
Introducing @journeyofahivean
The speaker announced a special welcome package which #spendhbd community through the help of @threespeak #journeyofahivean project. With that, all who signed up that very day received a total of 2 HBD each which they used in practicing how to purchase with hbd.
A total of 7 persons got registered and their names are: @amarachiisaac, @dgoldentwins @vindication103 @benispize @phaunel001, @ammyjah and @honeyglowtwinnie. In other for all of them to receive the 2 HBD, fokusnow registered all of them through the spendhbd registration portal and their happiness exceeded limit when they all got their free 2 HBD after fokusnow approved them
After making their first purchase with hbd and claimed discounts, we took pictures with them.
Outcome of the hive marketing roadshow I did on Saturday
My happiness is that the marketing campaign I did on Saturday yielded positive result as, out of the 7 newbies that joined hive at the moment, these 5 people joined hive today as a result of the hive marketing we did on Saturday prior to the event.
My resolution
Seeing how fruitful the marketing campaign roadshow I did produced positive result, I can't go back or restrain myself from marketing hive and spendhbd from now onward.
