First, I draft the joke.

Then I create a storyboard, and for each scene, I write a description of how I want it to be visualized.

After that, I design the characters that I’ll be using.

I use AI—but as far as I know, only ChatGPT can do this.

You have to instruct ChatGPT to generate your scene description and make it use your character as a reference.

Most of the time, the image it gives you isn’t what you visualized, so you have to keep editing your prompt until you get what you want.

You also need to study the terms used in art styles, like anime style, Ghibli style, chibi art. You also need to learn about different coloring methods—whether it’s natural, romance, desaturated, etc.

Once you’ve created your images, you’ll then edit them using Photoshop or any image editing tool and manually add the dialogue.

Even for just one joke, it can take you many hours to finish.

Yes, it really takes a long time to finish even a short comic. And even if you've already mastered it, the AI still messes up most of the time—but it's fun and very enjoyable. I really enjoy writing stories, and I thought people would relate more if the images and characters in the story were at least somewhat consistent
