This is not just a bad day or a minor ache. It is a long standing injury flaring up in a serious way, and that kind of thing demands attention and rest.

I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.

WOO events take planning, energy, and focus. When the person leading the project is in constant pain and preparing for physical therapy, it makes complete sense to ease off the gas for a moment. A quiet weekend does not mean nothing is happening behind the scenes. It often means priorities have shifted temporarily to something far more important, which in this case is health.

What I found most meaningful was how human the whole exchange felt. Bookerman did not have to say anything, yet he chose to be honest with the community. In return, people showed up with prayers, concern, and even a bit of humour mixed with advice. That kind of exchange does not happen in every online space. It happens in communities that actually care.

So if this weekend feels slower, I see it as a sign of respect. Respect for the person who helped build this community, and respect for the fact that sometimes the right call is to pause. WOO has always been about more than just the next event, and this weekend is a good reminder of that.
