Thursday in the Rhythm of Dumbbells and Chaos.
Yesterday, my step counter stopped at a magical 21,894 – and no, I didn’t collect them strolling with Roni around the block, but by being on the move since the early morning. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my personal Mount Everest of the week. In the morning – I work with a colleague with whom, let’s put it mildly, I don’t really vibe. She brings chaos that takes forever to untangle, like headphones pulled out of jeans pockets. Luckily, from 11:30 on, my dream team comes back and together we put things back in order.
But you know what? It’s not the work itself that wears me down, but the fact that once again someone comes to me and whispers, “She said this and that about you.” And again – frustration, tension. I had zero energy... yet somehow, I packed my workout clothes and went to a “Body Shaping” training session with Paulina.
It’s a dumbbell month, and the workout... well, it’s full-body but felt like a mini survival battle. Average heart rate: 136, max: 172, 276 kcal burned and 50 minutes of pushing through. But you know what? I came back feeling lighter – not in weight, but in all the emotional heaviness I’d been carrying.
I walked home – just like I walked to work in the morning. Left home at 8:00 a.m., came back at 8:00 p.m. Tired? Definitely. But also proud and deeply satisfied. That workout was like a band-aid for frayed nerves.
And today? Friday. Another afternoon shift with the same person. Sometimes I don’t know which part I dislike more – mornings or afternoons with her... But one thing I do know – working out is like a shield. I need to do this for myself. Because I can’t let anyone drain the energy I need for my kids, my home… and for me.

Wczoraj licznik kroków zatrzymał się na magicznej liczbie 21 894 – i nie, nie zbierałam ich spacerując z Ronim wokół bloku, tylko intensywnie działając od samego rana. Wtorki i czwartki to mój osobisty Mount Everest w tygodniu. Rano – praca z koleżanką, z którą, powiedzmy to delikatnie, nie łapię wspólnej fali. Wprowadza chaos, który potem trzeba długo odplątywać niczym słuchawki z kieszeni jeansów. Na szczęście od 11:30 wraca mój team marzeń i razem ogarniamy rzeczywistość.
Ale wiecie co? Najbardziej mnie męczy nie sama praca, tylko to, że znowu ktoś przychodzi i szepcze: „Ona mówiła o tobie to i tamto”. I znowu frustracja, znowu napięcie. I tak bardzo nie miałam siły… a mimo to – spakowałam sportowe ciuchy i poszłam z Pauliną na trening „Modelowanie sylwetki”.
Miesiąc hantli, a trening... cóż, ogólnorozwojowy, ale momentami przypominał małą bitwę o przetrwanie. Tętno średnie 136, maksymalne 172, 276 kcal spalonych i 50 minut intensywnej walki ze słabościami. Ale wiecie co? Wróciłam z tego treningu lżejsza – nie o kilogramy, ale o cały emocjonalny ciężar tego dnia.
Wróciłam pieszo – tak jak rano przyszłam pieszo do pracy. Wyszłam z domu o 8:00, wróciłam o 20:00. Zmęczona? Oczywiście. Ale też dumna i pełna satysfakcji. Trening był jak plaster na zszarpane nerwy.
A dziś? Piątek. I znowu popołudnie z tą samą osobą. Czasem nie wiem, co bardziej lubię: poranki z nią, czy popołudnia... Ale jedno wiem na pewno – trening działa jak tarcza. Muszę to robić dla siebie. Bo nie mogę pozwolić, żeby ktoś wyssał ze mnie energię, którą potrzebuję dla dzieci, dla domu… dla siebie.
