It's that day of the week in which I find the most interesting Splinterlands experience I've had over the past week to share! That fits in perfectly with the theme of the weekly Splinterlands Social Media Challenge too!

But first, a quick look at what happened this week in the world of crypto.

Crypto is volatile and this week was a perfect showcase of that. The sudden massive unwinding of carry trades worldwide caused widespread panic. BTC crashed down to $49k at one point and there was a complete bloodbath across both the crypto and stock markets. However, just as fast as it crashed, a near complete reversal took place in just about 2 days. All those who panic sold definitely felt the pain whilst those who bought the dip probably made out like bandits! 🤣 Were you one of those who got that steep discount? Of course, I could be completely wrong too, so, please do not heed my advice for your own investment purposes! 😜📈🚀

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 142nd consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This week's Social Media Challenge is all about sharing our remarkable Splinterlands moments. I'd have shared my daily and weekly activities in the past, BUT, usually, nothing really special really happens in my daily Splinterlands daily grind, so let's hope this is more interesting for reading?... let's get down to it! 🤣

Things are about to shake up with the launch of a brand-new set of reward cards for the Rebellion set! As Chaos Legion soulbound reward cards go out of print, players can now unbind these cards, bringing fresh dynamics to the game. With exciting new abilities and the introduction of Debilitations, this update promises to revolutionize the Splinterlands experience. Here’s a breakdown of all the crucial details!

Rebellion Reward Cards:

• New Rebellion reward card expansion similar in size to Chaos Legion.
  • Includes 12 common, 12 rare, 7 epic, and 12 legendary cards.
• Introduces 4 new abilities:
  • Mimic: Gains random abilities from the enemy team each round.
  • Corrupted Healing: Restores health while reducing max health.
  • Execute: Allows an additional attack if the target has 2 or less health after an attack.
  • Wingbreak: Targets enemy units with Flying first, with +2 damage against them.

Debilitations:

• New feature inflicting negative effects on allies but offering stronger stats.
• Includes:
  • Incendiary: Reapplies Burning each round with a chance to spread.
  • Electrified: Deals 1 damage to all allied units each round.
  • Weary: Increases the chance of units becoming Exhausted each round.

Soulbound and Unbinding Mechanics:

• Rebellion reward cards start as soulbound, obtainable via rarity draws and loot chests.
• Chaos Legion reward cards go out of print and can be unbound on August 15th.
  • Unbinding Cost: Calculated as 10x the card’s power-per-BCX in DEC for the first 29 days.
  • Examples:
    • Regular-foil Drybone Raider: 55,000 DEC for max level.
    • Common card: 50 DEC for single BCX, 20,000 DEC for max level.
    • Gold-foil legendary: 125,000 DEC for single BCX, 500,000 DEC for max level.

Unbinding Price Schedule:

• Day 1-29: 10x card's power in DEC.
• Day 30-59: 11x card's power in DEC.
• Day 60-89: 12x card's power in DEC.
• Day 90-119: 13x card's power in DEC.
• Day 120-149: 14x card's power in DEC.
• Day 150-179: 15x card's power in DEC.
• After 180 days, Chaos Legion reward cards remain soulbound permanently.

Combining and Burning Cards:

• Combining unbound and soulbound cards results in a soulbound card.
• To unbind, pay the remainder of the unbinding fee.
• Soulbound cards burn for Glint; unbound cards burn for DEC.
• All DEC used for unbinding is permanently burned, reducing circulating supply.
