Hive has allowed for projects like the Cryptoadoption project happening currently in the state of Sucre were people get to purchase real life products and pay through their Hive Wallet in HBDs.
I don't know if you are aware of this but there is also hivelist.store for Hive e-commerce. If I am not mistaken I believe it is @thelogicaldude's project. Sooner or later I will start selling some stuff there.
