Collecting My 4 Favorite Hive Tokens

Lately I've been revisiting some stacking efforts on hive. There are 4 tokens right now that I care about and I wanted to put out a quick post about them.

Hive:

Obviously the layer one token for the whole thing. I haven't always been sure about HIVE but there are some things coming up that have me redoubling my efforts to get a more respectable bag.
After 2 years of being here I'm a little ashamed to say I only have 2170 HP. it hasn't been my priority or I could certainly have more but I'm still surprised I haven't accumulated closer to 10k at least by now. I've heard many people say it starts snowballing once you hit 10k. I'm not sure why that would be true but I want to find out 😄

Right now my curation efforts are adding about 15HP per month, and my holdings in dCrops are adding another 18HP per month. I don't write much anymore but writing was never that profitable for me here even when I was doing it more. I'm trying to book some more trading and gaming profits in hive. That helped me add over 150 to my stake last week.

So why the renewed interest?

First, Aggy announced the new arcade platform on a recent townhall. This is a fork of the GLX platform but it will be able to onboard web 2 games in built in Unity. And they are already talking to developers with 60 million downloads.

While I expect there will be an airdrop of the new platform token for SPS holders, ultimately the platform will be on hive. While I don't know the details of how this works, if even a single game ports over with 60 million users, that not only dwarfs everything on hive, but just about everything on any blockchain. I do understand that 60 million downloads is probably not close to 60 million users but even if its a couple million actives, things could get interesting. 🤔

Second is LEO...

LEO:

I don't pay nearly as much attention to LEO as I should but clearly, LEO is moving the needle. LEO is another one I'm a little embarrassed about only having 1500 of. As LEO is building and now buying 3x LEO on the market than the token has inflation, things are getting interesting for sure. Just look at this chart.

Definitely not a chart we see often in this bear market. I put in some orders for 500 LEO but the price quickly ran off without me. Still I'll be paying more attention to accumulating LEO.

Update: While I was writing this I had an order fill for 200 LEO that I just staked. I think I missed LPUD but that's OK. Glad to add a little to my stack. Up to 1750 now.

SPS:

With the recent announcement of SPS staking, I'm realizing I don't have enough SPS. I usually hang out in Diamond 1 and 2. I have enough for diamond 2 but I need about 50k more for diamond 1. Plus, my other account that plays in gold but doesn't have much SPS. It's fine because it doesn't belong in Gold anyway but I'd love to have more SPS to rent out.

Plus, airdrop tokes for the new arcade platform will probably be based on staked SPS.

SPT:

SPT is the Splintertalk token you get for posting about Splinterlands on hive. It has been unloved for years. In the bull run it gave you more SPS airdrop points and they started releasing NFTs that were just art that you could buy with the token. Those were interesting. But since then its just slowly fallen to nothing.

Aggy has recently been hinting that there is utility for it coming. It doesn't sound like a top priority but it's the first sign that he knows it exists in years. Also, Nate has mentioned it several times. It seems like something Nate has lots of idea for he'd love to implement.

While its already tripled in price since these rumblings, its still a pretty good deal. I have about 200k now and a high bid in for 300k more. I would love that to be in the millions but my immediate goal of 500k would be good for now. I don't curate enough Splinterlands content so I'm probably going to delegate to someone. I feel like some curators are too big though. Any suggestions?

How am I planning on building my stakes?

I'm not putting more money into HIve right now. I'd love to but its just not feasible at the moment. So instead I'm trading a few tokens for extra hive and I'm getting DBLN from Serfdom and Sorcery and selling some of that (I get about 20 hive worth per day from my farms). Honeslty I've been enjoying the game and I'm wondering where its going so I don't want to sell everything.

I'm also selling Part here and there from Golem Overlord. I burn most of that but I've been able to take a lot of hive out of that game. Currently I probably make about 10 hive per day although it's dropping now.

And finally I make some hive building resources in dCrop and selling them. That's another few hive per day. The only game I'm not making god money on right now is the biggest game on the blockchain that I have almost 6 figures invested in haha. Oh Splinterlands. You over printer you. 🥸
