Backyard Gardening - My First Papaya Harvest

Today, I harvested the first ripe fruit from my Papaya Tree. As far as I remember, I planted its seeds last year, around June if I'm not mistaken.

By January, the tree had already grown to about 5 feet tall, and as far as I know, it started bearing fruit around that month.

To be honest, I got a bit impatient waiting for it to ripen. What surprised me is that it ripened earlier than the ones that came out first.

I planted many papaya seeds last year, but only a few became trees. I learned that if you don't remove them from the seedling bag, they won't grow big.

My papaya trees are small, I don't know if they're the ones I planted from the seeds I bought online, which were called dwarf papaya, hence their small size.

I also have another papaya plant that's only 5 feet tall and has a slender trunk, but it's already bearing fruit.

I remember cooking unripe papaya before, and it was sweet and delicious.

I saved the seeds, and I'll try growing them in a large container because I plan to do container gardening.

Papaya isn't the only thing I'm growing, I also have tomatoes, but I neglected them, so they dried up, but I already harvested a lot from them.

I also have eggplants, and they're starting to flower and bear fruit.

I'm still a bit busy, so I haven't planted my other seeds yet, but hopefully, before summer ends, I'll be able to plant them all.

It's fulfilling to see the crops you planted bearing fruit. It gives you a sense of accomplishment, even though all I did was plant and water them. Hahaha!
