Splinterlands Art Contest Week 317! Lioceros

Welcome to another Splinterlands Fan Art Contest post from someone who loves drawing but has no talent,yours truly, lodens.

Today, I'll be drawing Lioceros, a Rare Earth element unit that works great as a Tank in team battles.

Why? Aside from having a shield and a decent amount of life, it also has the Thorns ability, deals damage to opponents with melee attacks.

At its max level, its shield can reach 9, making it super durable when used as a tank.

To start my drawing, I sketched a rough figure of Lioceros. From that rough sketch, I slowly built the final image. By the way, it’s called Lioceros because it’s a mix of a lion, rhinoceros, and linothorax in appearance.

I added all the necessary details to make it look like the character we know.

For coloring, I created several layers and started with a solid base color, which served as the foundation for shading later.

After finishing the base colors, I proceeded to shade. I overlaid each solid color layer and set it to clipping to ensure the colors didn’t go outside the lines. Once the coloring was done, I added a simple background to highlight the character. I also applied a line concentration effect to enhance the overall look of the art.
