Welcome to Part 1 of my 3-part Weapons Training Ability Guide.

Units with the Weapons Training Ability provide attacks to units that have no attacks by sharing the attack of the ability holder. This way, you won't feel that it's a waste to use units without an attack in battle.

No Attack Units

Most units with this ability are either legendary or epic rarity cards. The only exception is Moxian Rebel, which is a rare rarity card with this ability.

So who is the best unit with the Weapons Training Ability?
Let's go through them and compare.

Neutral Element

Moxian Rebel
Let's start with Moxian Rebel, which has a Magic Attack. Moxian Rebel's Magic Attack is weak, with only 2 magic power at its Max Level, 3 speed, 1 armor, and 5 health.

Advantages:

• The 5 health is decent as it gains the additional Camouflage ability at Max Level, making it untargetable by units with the opportunity ability. Due to its low life, it is often the first target of units with the opportunity ability.

• Instead of having no attack buff units, it's better to use Moxian Rebel to ensure all your units have some attack, even if it's weak.

• Moxian Rebel has low mana, making it easy to include in battle lineups.

Disadvantages:

• Its Magic Attack is weak and ineffective against opponents with the Void Magic Ability, having only 1 Magic Attack from level 1 to 6.
• From Level 1 to 3, it's a favorite target of opponents with the opportunity ability due to its low health.
  

Fire Element

Ferexian Hero
Ferexian Hero is a Soulbound Legendary unit with the additional Reach ability. At lower levels, it already has strong melee attack power of 3. It's tough with a shield and 7 health, and at Max Level, it gains an additional reflection shield.

Advantages:

• With the Reach ability, it can attack opponents even from the 2nd position, making it especially useful in battles with opportunity, Super Sneak, or Melee Mayhem rulesets. If placed between two units without attacks, all can attack.
• The reflection shield ability makes it safe from units with thorns or in explosive weaponry rulesets.

Disadvantages:

• If positioned between two units without attacks, the unit behind it won't be able to attack unless the ruleset is opportunity, melee mayhem, or super sneak.
• With 8 mana, it's not easy to include in low mana cap battles.

Dlthin Ironhood
This is a Rebellion Edition Epic Fire unit with a ranged attack. At max level, it gains the Immunity and Redemption abilities.

Advantages:

• This unit is good in poison battle rulesets due to its Immunity ability and can still damage opponents upon defeat with its Redemption ability.
• It's especially useful in close-range battle rulesets as the units it shares attacks with can also attack.

Disadvantages:

• Being a ranged attack unit, it can only be positioned at the back.
• With 7 mana, it's hard to include in low mana cap battles.
• Besides the summoner Conqueror Jacek, who can give it additional speed, and Nomos, who can give it the Dispel ability, this unit doesn't benefit from other summoners.

Water Element

Kulu Mastermind
Kulu Mastermind is a Legendary Water Element from the Soulbound Edition. It has the additional opportunity ability at level 1 and strong melee attack, fast speed, and high health. At max level, it gains a shield and enrage ability.

Advantages:

• In many encounters, Kulu Mastermind has proven to be a tough opponent due to its high health, strong attack, and fast speed even at level 1. At Max Level, it has 5 attacks and the enrage and shield abilities, making it a formidable opponent.

Disadvantages:

• If positioned between two units without attacks, the unit behind it won't be able to attack unless the ruleset is opportunity, melee mayhem, or super sneak.
• With 9 mana, it's hard to include in low mana cap battles.

Daarg Deadblast
This is a Rebellion Edition unit with 2 magic attacks and the additional swiftness ability. At max level, it gains the Dodge and Triage abilities.

Advantages:

• Being a Magic attack unit, it doesn't matter where you position the units it trains. You can place it in the 2nd position, and the 3rd position no-attack unit can still attack.
• Its swiftness ability at level 1 gives additional speed to all friendly units.
• At Max Level, it can heal backliner friendly units, and its dodge ability gives it a high chance of evading attacks from opponents with the opportunity ability.
• At Max Level, it has strong magic attacks and decent health.

Disadvantages:

• With 7 mana, it's hard to include in low mana cap battles.
• Its low health makes it a prime target for opponents with the opportunity ability.
