What's the starting cost to play it?

Packs are about 1/2 HBD and about five (5) packs (about 2.5 HBD) will be enough to start playing and get you cards enough to start winning at lower level battles.

That's affordable. However, the problem is time. Is there any "expiry" thing, like if it is not played, it will be wasted away?
