The Role of Social Media in Spreading Awareness about Crypto Projects and Cryptoadoption

Greetings to my Cent Family and my fellow Hivers on the Hive Blockchain. It's another beautiful day and I'm really excited to have the chance to share another awesome blog post with everyone.

Well I have started a new niche since I realized its importance on Hive. I'll be sharing Blockchain related topics to help make people understand the concept a bit better and to find answers to many questions regarding Blockchain, social media and cryptocurrency.

I hope my previous blog helped answer some few questions regarding the role of reputation on a Hive account. I'm still doing heavy research to find some more answers.

In today's blog post I'll be sharing very briefly on the role that social media plays in spreading awareness about crypto projects.

Now one thing that is very undisputed is that Social media is the most powerful tool in our modern era when it comes to spreading news and sharing information. Any form of news at all whether fake or true can easily spread with social media. People go viral with just simple dog cat videos.

I was shocked to find out the most viral video of all time on TikTok was a video of a Harry Potter magic trick. This shows the power of social media to spread information.

Now this gives social media a huge role to play when it comes to people being made aware of cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology.

Cryptoadoption will take a huge leap forward if we can get it right with social media.

Now before I start with a few points I made about the role of social media in Cryptoadoption, one major way by which social media helps to advance Hive Cryptoadoption is this very platform, the Hive Blockchain.

As a content creator, I used to search online a lot for the best platform for creating my blogs. I was also in search for the most rewarding platform online because as a blogger it takes a lot of time, effort and resources to create and share blog posts so the need to reward bloggers is very necessary.

I discovered Steemit at first which led me to Hive. I moved from Steemit and became a full time Hiver.
Don't worry guys, I'll share the story of how I moved from Steemit to Hive later on.

Now because of my work as a blogger being on Hive, I was introduced to cryptocurrency and had to create my cryptocurrency wallet to hold crypto tokens. That was how I was initiated into the world of cryptocurrency.

So based on my story, that is one way social media has introduced people to the world of cryptocurrency and Blockchain. By creating a social platform that rewards users for the content they share and upvotes, it gives them a chance to earn and own their very own cryptocurrency.

Alright now Let's get into some few points on the role of Social media in spreading the awareness of Crypto projects and Cryptoadoption.

Announcement or Updates

Announcements and updates about new Crypto projects can reach a global audience via websites like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and even this very platform Hive. There are online groups, channels and Communities created by Cryptocurrency and Blockchain platforms on popular social media sites where they get to share their vision and announcements of new things to come to their followers or audience.

Leaders and Influencers share Information

Social media is a great platform or tool for leaders or Influences to share their knowledge about cryptocurrencies, share data statistics and spark interests in cryptocurrency. Influences have the power to cause or influence their fans or followers to make decisions regarding cryptocurrency investments which affects the value of cryptocurrency tokens all over the world and they do so via social media platforms.

They can cause more engagement and participation of people in the world of cryptocurrency through social media.

Cryptocurrency Communities

Now one way most tokens are introduced is through online communities. Token developers come up with a crypto token and could start a telegram channel or group on it.

They then rally a lot of people and investors behind it and hopefully grow the value overtime. Social media creates the chance for communities to be established to develop around crypto projects which would encourage cooperation and support

Viral Challenges and Campaigns

Now when you talk viral challenges, you know we're about to start mentioning TikTok and Instagram Reels. Social media can be used to create viral challenges and campaigns which generates buzz and draw in new investors to invest into the project idea or the crypto token.

Communication between Project Teams and Audience

Now this is one thing I even experienced yesterday. There's a gaming community I joined on Hive not too long ago. Through discord I was able to join a Livestream where we got to ask the project Team leader a few questions about the project which is currently in Beta mode. I got a lot of answers and understood the vision of the project even more.

That's one thing social media is capable of doing. It makes it possible for project teams to communicate directly with their audience, which fosters transparency and trust.

I truly believe in the power and potential of social media to really make cryptocurrency greater than it already is.

Social media has the power to influence more investors to invest into cryptocurrency and Blockchain projects and also create more cryptocurrency fans and enthusiasts.

All these will eventually increase the value of cryptocurrency in the world and allow for more crypto based projects to be executed successfully.
