Silver eagle trade unit/ Monster Raffle/ Re-blog lottery for the chance to win 3 HSBI!

Back in the 1980's there were a bunch of companies producing silver rounds in the United States. Many called their products silver trade units. One such company was the Northwest Territorial Mint. These rounds are becoming harder and harder to find as collectors snatch them up and I'm sure many were melted down in the 1980's as well. I was lucky to pick one up back in the 1990's at some point I believe, it's been long enough that I don't even remember when!

The front of the coin has a very cool bald eagle, it has a great design. And the reverse has the interesting scale with the statement silver trade unit. It's a very cool silver round, have a look!

About the round:
Northwest Territorial Mint
One ounce silver round trade unit
99.9% silver
One try ounce
Obverse: Bald Eagle with lettering United State of America 1 OZ troy .999 silver
Reverse: balance one lettering One Troy Ounce, mint mark,.999 fine silver, silver trade unit

This is one item I was lucky to find, these days they are really hard to come by at a decent price. Great for stacking silver and really for collectors too as their premiums are so high anymore. The real hard part is finding a good deal these days!

I know that feeling, there have been quite a few I see and say geez I wish I had one of those. I feel that way more with the new stuff because I'm putting more into retirement so I have less to put into metals right now. Getting old sucks but my body is starting to tell me it's time to slow down a little...

I think it is funny when I see the commercials for silver rounds and stuff like that on TV. Before Hive, I never really paid attention to them, but now that I am into silver stacking, my ears perk up a little bit.
