By the way, this post is my entry for the "HENTHUSIASTS, Bring me Challenge #13 - A Fern".

First, I searched on the internet, specifically on google, about 'what is a Fern?' 🔍🤔.....

Upon searching, I found a photo of a fern. Thinking where can I find something like in the City, and mostly these could be found at provinces or in rural areas.😔😭

Many days passed by, but upon way home I saw a fern which was growing on my neighbor's garden. The first thought that got on my mind was "Oh! I found a fern."💪😯

Tadaahhhhhhhh❤️

I edited the photo using the canva app to make it more presentable and beautiful! 😍 I was captivated by the plants and isn't it amazing!💖

From what I have researched, I found this article written by Yatskievych, et.al. which talks about the fern.

An extract from the artcle,"Fern(class Polypodiopsida) is a class of nonflowering, herbaceous vascular plants that possess true roots, stems, and complex leaves and that reproduce by spores. There are 10,500 known extant fern species, but estimates ranged to 15,000 fern species. The ferns constitute an ancient division of vascular plants, some of them as old as about 358.9 million years and perhaps older. Their type of life cycle, dependent upon spores for dispersal, long preceded the seed-plant life cycle.

Some ferns play a role in ecological succession, growing from the crevices of bare rock exposures and in open bogs and marshes prior to the advent of forest vegetation. As a group of plants, ferns are not of great economic value. Many different species have been used as a minor food source and for medicine in various parts of the world. Ecologically, the ferns are most commonly plants of shaded damp forests of both temperate and tropical zones."

That's all, thank you for reading and have a blessed day ahead! ❤️🫶

We have a fern plant back then but I guess your research is correct that it only lives in a damp and moist environment. I remembered transferring it to loam soil and then placing it where there was direct sunlight. After a few days, it died lol hahaha

Congrats on finding a fern!
