My 42nd HIVE Power Up Day June 1st 2025 ⚡🔋— Main Event Mayhem: WOO’s Wild Ride Through May 2025!

HELLO June 2025!

It's the 1st day of the month and that means it's HIVE Power Up Day again! 🎉🚀 Just like that, FIVE MONTHS of the year of 2025 has gone past us already! 😱⌛️

The past month in crypto has been a rollercoaster, with major exchanges and institutions making some pretty bold moves. Around the first week of May, Coinbase finally launched 24/7 Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trading, which is huge because it gives both retail and institutional traders the ability to react in real time—even on weekends—when the market moves. Personally, I think this will help smooth out those wild swings we often see on off-hours and weekend trading, but we’ll have to wait and see if it really cuts down on the crazy price gaps.

Meanwhile, big players have been reshaping the on-chain landscape as well. Strive Asset Management merged with Asset Entities to form a $2 billion public Bitcoin treasury firm, and New Hampshire became the first U.S. state to allow a portion of public funds to be invested in Bitcoin, joining the growing list of regions embracing crypto. Even Solana had its moment—its stablecoin supply hit an all-time high of $13 billion, and whales have been gobbling up altcoins again, signalling they’re positioning for another big alt season. On the flip side, a scandal hit the MOVE token, which dumped nearly 50% after a shady market-making deal went south, reminding us that caution is still key in this space.

Perhaps the most eye-catching headline, though, was the creation of a USD1 stablecoin backed by World Liberty Financial and tied to a $2 billion Binance deal. I couldn’t believe it when I heard Eric Trump confirm that USD1 will be used for that transaction—it’s wild to see politics and crypto merging in such a direct way. All this action has resulted in thousands of new eyes on crypto, with whale activity spiking across coins like AVAX and ETH. As someone who’s been watching these markets closely, I’m both excited and a bit anxious—there’s a lot of promise here, but also plenty of volatility. Strap in, because if May was any indication, the rest of 2025 is going to keep the thrills coming.

Regardless, I still remain bullish on the long term future of BTC and HIVE. Is this the last opportunity to accumulate more at current prices before it moons beyond no return? Who knows? I believe in the long term and will stick to my regular DCA regardless. 😜📈🚀

Another month in this year has gone by in a flash! I've joined HIVE since November 2021 and I'm still learning so many new things everyday! I first heard of Hive Power Up Day in January 2022 and all its other acronyms (PUD, PUM, PUH 😂 what a mouthful) and I've participated in HPUD every month since then!

• I've attained yet another PUM badge for the month! 📅🥳 (at least 1 post/powerup everyday!).

_{Ever since I started with the HPUM initiative in 2022, I've tried my best to faithfully make one blog post everyday in an attempt to get the Hive Power Up Month badge. I've managed to make it successfully for 9 out of 12 months in 2022, and then improved on it in 2023 with 10 out of 12 months! I have managed to maintain a similar 10/12 result in 2024 again and I will be attempting to get as many as I can again (perhaps a perfect score?) in 2025! 🥳💯}

This makes it 4 months (thus far) where I managed this achievement IN THIS CURRENT year of 2025.

Blogging regularly and having the HPUM to incentivize me has other tangible benefits too! I've seen my Hive Power grow quite a fair bit. This seems like a good practice which I intend to continue keeping up with!

In my VERY FIRST month before before I ever heard about Hive Power Up Day/Month, I was at just 47 HP 😭 (Before Jan 1st 2022).

This month, before I've even powered up anything at all, I'm already at 15,945.362 HP! 🎉🎉🎉

That's how consistent blogging on HIVE, with (mostly) 100% allocated to Hive Power, improved my HIVE account!

Once again, I only have enough HIVE set aside for a 10HP powerup, but I'm sure with my continued efforts to blog with 100% powered up to HIVE, I will be able to grow my Hive Power even more!

Using https://hivestats.io/, I was able to pull out a chart showing my daily account growth for the past month too. Great to see that orange graph head upwards continually 📈😄! If only my stocks portfolio and the price of HIVE looked like that too 😂🤑.

As always, I usually make just the minimum powerup of 10 HIVE. This is because there are so many projects that I'm now invested in. The HIVE ecosystem is so much bigger than what I had thought it was when I first joined. I believe my constant allocation of most of my daily posts being 100% powered up is sufficient to grow my Hive Power daily. The rest of any funds from HIVE will usually be kept for other projects that are of interest to me (on HIVE of course 😁).

As always, I'll like to explain that the reason why I do not powerup every single bit of HIVE/HBD I get every month from my blogging is because I like to keep some liquidity around to invest in HIVE projects that I feel have some potential.

It is no secret by now that quite a bit of my extra funds lying around HIVE has been channelled into the Wrestling Organization Online aka WOO project! 🤑

After months of talking about WOO during my HPUD posts, I am glad to say that WOO has FINALLY launched the game proper! All players can use their WOO assets, play the game, and earn $WOO tokens. The game has not yet exploded in terms of player numbers since it is so new, but there are already launch campaigns to give it the boost it needs!

The past month has been an absolute whirlwind covering everything WOO-related, and here’s a quick recap of what we’ve tackled together. We kicked things off with the exciting announcement that Bookerman would be appearing on the Deep Web3 Secrets Podcast on May 5th—promising a “major reveal” that would tie together WOO, Hive, and real-world blockchain use. From there, we shifted into remembrance mode as we mourned the loss of the Hardcore Icon Sabu, celebrating his legacy and recounting how our community came together to honor him and support his family. That post was heartfelt, focused on sharing personal memories and showcasing how Sabu’s spirit lives on within the WOO family.

Next up was our deep dive into the Hive DHF proposal for Hive Wrestle Fest, where WOO aimed to marry wrestling entertainment with real-world Hive and HBD adoption. We laid out the multi-phase event in Williston, North Dakota—two super-shows, a parade float, vendor booths, and on-site NFC tap-to-pay cards loaded with HBD. It was all about building sustainable Hive onboarding, cheering on the local community, and creating evergreen video content to keep the momentum rolling long after the bell rang. My posts broke down the budget, the KPIs (like onboarding 2,000–4,000 new users), and the rationale for investing $75k from the DHF into this ambitious, boots-on-the-ground strategy. I made sure to inject personal insights about why seeing Hive used in real transactions at a wrestling event felt like a game-changer.

Throughout May, I also outlined and fleshed out a seven-part blog series celebrating the aftermath of our Q1 and Q2 launches—especially the Gym Bag pre-order and sell-out saga—emphasizing how once those 2,500 bags vanished in razor-thin time, it marked a massive token sink and a sign of how hungry the community is for WOO consumables. Finally, I revisited the cinematic Perry Saturn video series we produced at WrestleCon 2025, highlighting how those three professional-grade YouTube mini-documentaries (Top 5 Tag Teams, Best and Worst Companies, Best and Worst Bosses) not only entertained but served as a gateway for wrestling fans to dip their toes into Hive. All in all, May 2025’s WOO coverage was a blend of celebration, remembrance, community-building, and big-picture strategy—exactly what it feels like to be a fan and witness WOO’s rapid evolution firsthand.
