๐Ÿ˜ Not F1 first Qualification, 2026 first Quarter! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

That's how quickly life goes nowadays, at least for me. And I am sure many will feel the same, and the best recommendation I have is to enjoy moments as much as possible. Avoid wasting time with lots of things at the same time, and taking on many things at the same time before finishing any ongoing ones.

This week, I had a couple of not so nice surprises. First, my very old Sony TV decided to go "blank", and this weekend I finally had time to troubleshoot it, and it looks like my T-CON card is gone. A common problem with these models, apparently.

How it looks like a brand new one:
(source)

And mine, broken for some reason:

After inspecting, I didn't catch any "problems", and measured feed voltages from the power board, and they look fine too. So, I can only guess something inside the chip, fries or wears out.

Will probably buy a new TV, most likely, because even replacing this is around 100 NZD (if I have to order from out of NZ), this is still a substantial cost, vs buying a new TV. And if this is going to happen again, then I don't want to spend more money on this one. I will try to sell this for parts if I can, and if I can't, I will just recycle it.

The second surprise was my UPS protecting against a short circuit. And because when UPSs detected these, they shut down, all the infrastructure I am running from Home turned off. Unsure where that short came from, but I suspect it came from a combination of factors. Hopefully not within the UPS itself. I will be monitoring from now on, and if it recurs, then I am going to try running without it.

The good outcome of that was how quickly I was able to bring everything back 2 days ago, with the exception of the API node, where I had something not quite right on my script, and because it was already too late, my head was just not working. So I went to bed, and yesterday, before going to bed, I just figured it out. Set it to synchronise overnight, and this morning everything was fine.

The last month has been hectic for me. Lots of work, and very little time to shill. I think that the time spent writing this post might have been the most relaxing time I have had lately (since March).

Anyhow, these times will pass! But if you're wondering why this post is not going to be that big, well, that's the main reason, the month FLASHED! And I am just trying to make up time to be with family, too.

๐Ÿง The number of New dApps on Hive lately! ๐Ÿคฏ

I want to comment on what many might have been observing around Hive (in terms of dApps), more or less, since the beginning of the year. And, this is not a criticism, but instead a call for your interest to be challenged, given the impact this will have around the world, is just going to start accelerating even more (my opinion/view).

And having explored a couple during March, I have to say. I think this new era of AI is bringing new, refreshing versions of apps that might not have been the best looking ones previously or didn't do exactly what everyone wanted. Basically, more choices! Most of these are just "interfaces" or tools that interact with the Blockchain layers (L1 and L2's), but I think this was a big barrier previously, both because there were not so many webdevelopers out there eager to explore Hive, and because using the right API calls or reading documentation, was not as easy to understand for many, as it is now, if using a simple agent, like claude.

Not intentionally trying to focus on a particular one, but just because it was one that I enjoyed lots, and it's not available anymore, that's beeswap.dcity.io, you will find more things like this happening this year. And that's sort of a consequence of very fast development supported by what people now call "vibe coding" (coding assisted by "AI" agents) and fast changing interests by everyone, in a bear market where it's hard to get funded.

And that's not necessarily bad, but it's hard for many, and will confuse a couple of people. So, if you get somehow "frustrated" by not being able to access something that previously was your comfort zone, go to. Please ask around first and give as much information about the problem as you possibly can. There are lots of alternatives that many of us know, or you might just spark someone to create what you need.

In this case, just to wrap up the topic, there are alternatives to BeeSwap. You can (if you like) still use tribaldex.com, or if you want to try @thecrazygm one, here for the ATX:SWAP.HIVE pool, for example, which I personally think is quite good, and in due time, will be able to provide more feedback, and/or contribute directly.

And please! PLEASE!!! Do investigate things before using them, and NEVER put your private keys into something you are just testing for the first time, especially the active private key. There are lots of scammers out there.

If you want to try new things, create a new account where you have no risk of losing any crypto. And if you can't create one, let me know, I can do it for you (as well as many people around here). Explore, but do it safely!

๐ŸŽฒ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ GAMES Games GAAAMMMESS!!

Not much time for this section this month. But a quick and dirty drop of links, just in case people don't know about them yet. This is not necessarily new apps, but they were New to me.

https://hivepredict.app
https://sportsblock.app
https://hive-lotto.app
https://hiveword.xyz (a lot of you know this one now)
https://dhenz14.github.io/norse-mythos-card-game
https://hive-ships.com
https://hive.coldbeetrootsoup.com

There is probably more I missed on the insane amount of open tabs. But this should give you an idea of what I was trying to say previously. Please provide feedback if you can to the creators of these things, as that helps them shape what they are working on.

And if you have ideas about new things, please. Bring in the crazy good ones. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿค—

๐Ÿบ BEER time

I really enjoyed this new way of discovering Hive posts... https://hivecomb.net developed by @pharesim. Didn't have yet time to go do a deep dive, but the little time I had, it was like a more "distributed" way of finding posts. And that randomness, and the ability to see more content in a different context, was very interesting.

Have you given it a try? What did you think about it?

I love how your short posts just end up being like an hour long read and exploration journey ๐Ÿ˜„
I think that beeswap replacement has some great potential to be the new go-to site when interacting with the Hive-Engine. So many awesome details on that one! And also, nice little twist getting the ATX pool in the article like that ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I kinda envy the speed of those Vibe coded apps. My own UI could do with an uplift when it comes to that part, but in all honesty, I think my version has more soul, more nice-to-have features than Vibe coded ones.
Sure, I have had AI assisting me, but nowhere near as much as in some of the other apps we see.

Will try and make a post from my own UI today, and also a reply to one of your posts (or maybe comment to this one)

I'm so sad we lost BeeSwap: I used (and liked) it so much that I'm having a lot of difficulties finding something that can replace it... sure, there are other interfaces to interact with Hive-Engine, but none of them right now feels as powerfull and polished as BeewSwap was... but it is what it is, and hopefully among all the apps and improvements that are pushed out there will be someone creating a alternative to BeeSwap (maybe even a better one!).

I am 100% with you, those two guys had fricking magical powers.

But life goes on, and AI xcrap is going to be a reality. So, better learn how to use this the right way.

I already have some formed thoughts about what things I can either recommend or add if I manage to have the time, on the https://tools.crypto-dreamr.com/beeswap/pools

And by the way, I love them for just keeping the name "beeswap"... even if is something logical, it grepped their name/app.

An important part is... life goes on. And experiences serve as both baselines and a learning ground for those who try to create new things.

I'm surely going to give it a chance, mostly because TribalDex when it comes to pool and liquidity pools is missing something, don't know if it's the UI, the speed, or something else... but it doesn't click for me!

That was my thoughts too. Now I'm less likely to use it on a permanent basis. I love the richest within the pools, but that's the best use of it for now IMO

Shame about your TV. These things are often not worth repairing these days as the new ones will be cheaper and better.

It is an exciting time for Hive with all these apps appearing. We do need to be wary of where we log in, but the developers are building their reputation here to gain trust. With Keychain we keep some control. The developers need to be wary too as using AI tools may mean missing security issues. I hope that many more developers will come and build on Hive as the platform does so much for them for free.

yep... anyhow it was already 10 years old, so, not worth repairing in my view.

Yeah, AI needs to be properly "contained" and "used" on the right things. Failing to understand those, will get people in a very near future.

For example, the other day, an update to an LLM just got hacked, and basically anyone using that LLM would basically be providing private information, passwords, etc... form where they would run against. Quite scary, if these things start to be part of EVERYTHING we have and then these missapps can happen!

Probably in Europe, I am guessing. But it's just speculation. Don't know anything. Once known, I will make some noise.

ATX, I have to change a lot of stuff to include two alternatives. Part of the documentation I have and links I have are all pointing to BeeSwap, so I am planning on changing them to include 2 options always, so that people (if things happen again) can always have an alternative. Also makes it easier for folks to learn about more than just 1 interface, given the "behind the scenes" tables and functions on the database are always the same.

Cheers

(Edit: I didn't finish the thought) I hope you get your TV fixed.
100 NZD (how many dollars is that?) My PC has been working at half capacity for years; it has more problems than Frankenstein, and this is partly due to damage from power outages in my country... hehehe. I'm also saving up to buy a new one. I think in 15 years, if I keep saving, I'll be able to get a new one... hehehehehe.(es un chiste cruel)**

Hey, I'm sorry about your short circuit and your TV. It's frustrating. In my country, we're going through constant power rationing, which is damaging our appliances. It's very sad; I know how you must feel.

I hope your API node issue gets resolved, and you can continue working as usual. Although I don't know anything about nodes, I know it's very important to you.

And regarding how time flies here where I live, if that's any consolation, haha. It's crazy, but I've been reading and there's a psychological explanation. I think I'll make a post about it.

๐Ÿง The number of new dApps on Hive lately! ๐Ÿคฏ I want to mention something many of you have probably noticed about Hive (regarding dApps): there are many, but you know one I've really loved is sagarkothari88's. Please check them out and use them, and mention me. Yes, you'd be helping me a lot to get considered for my job, even though I'm just collaborating right now, but I love it.

Can we convert to Hive here? pool ATX:SWAP.HIVE? I didn't understand this part; could you explain it better? Please

Hey, I'd like you to create an account for me so I can try out all this stuff you're talking about without taking any risks.

And I'll be checking this out: https://hivecomb.net. I didn't know about this site... I'll keep an eye on it... ATX

I'll see you on #hSnaps, tag me.

Hey, I'm sorry about your short circuit and your TV. It's frustrating. In my country, we're going through constant power rationing, which is damaging our appliances. It's very sad; I know how you must feel.

I think your problems are WAY MORE frustrating than mine :D

I hope your API node issue gets resolved, and you can continue working as usual. Although I don't know anything about nodes, I know it's very important to you.

It's already running. I need to forge some activities for people to understand how to switch nodes and such. See if you can figure out which one is from the list of nodes here: https://hivehub.dev

And yes, I know Sagar too, and yes, he's a great guy. I like the app too. Keep giving him feedback to help him improve it.

Can we convert to Hive here? pool ATX:SWAP.HIVE? I didn't understand this part; could you explain it better? Please

Yes, you can convert ATX to SWAP.HIVE (and vice versa) on Hive-Engine Layer 2. Then you can withdraw SWAP.HIVE into HIVE (in layer 1). SWAP.HIVE is a pegged of HIVE token in Layer 2 format. Meaning they have the same value at all times.

This subject might be trickier to explain, let me know if you want to keep learning in this topic and we can explore more of this. Just want to make sure first before boring you with this. ๐Ÿค—

To create a new account, just head down here: https://peakd.com/register?ref=forykw

There are other places too. It's mostly free to create new accounts on Hive. But people will know who you are, due to how it gets created. But if you don't mind that part, its free. You can even use your own referral to create yours.

  1. Make sure you log out from peakd first... and have keychain already ready.
  2. https://peakd.com/register?ref=angeluxx
  3. Choose an available name
  4. Save your keys in a secured place
  5. Import them to keychain using the master password.

Done.

Greetings, it seems you're having a big electrical and technological problem. I hope you can resolve it soon. And sometimes it's nice to have new gadgets, as long as you can afford it. I hope so.

Hive is growing, with lots of technology and many committed users. It's a shame the price of its cryptocurrency isn't the most favorable. I'm not worried, but I wish things would improve.

"vibe coding" (coding assisted by "AI" agents)

I've been playing with AI a bit over the last year. Have recently moved to using Claude as my primary one. Trying to learn a little bit every day so I don't get left behind! And I had been wondering what this meant, but had never got around to looking it up! Now I know! Thank you!

And please! PLEASE!!! Do investigate things before using them, and NEVER put your private keys into something you are just testing for the first time, especially the active private key. There are lots of scammers out there.

I am still humble enough that I have very little stake in this community. But in conjunction, we are brutally powerful.
