Nope it's just a transfer of wealth. Too few people got into bitcoin early so you simply have a few people hording a majority of it.
Then check out Tau/Agrs. spend a week or two on it.

Probably has something to do with something totally unrelated to Hive. There is a financial entity, stock in Canada, that is also named Hive and recently got a lot more investment into it due to crypto hype. Since the company is titled Hive blockchain it can be misinterpreted as association with Hive.blog. Yes the company is literally called Hive Blockchain but is unrelated to the Hive we come to know.

I will say...yes..a real lot of problems can be solved. Look at the vast amount of crypto projects out there...with a simple click one can earn valuable cryptos and get services and even food by exchanging (for me food access to all is my motto entering the crypto world) and yes we can do it.
If crypto can end hunger/famine...well we've already succeeded in tackling the world biggest problem - my opinion though.
