Share a coin challenge #silvergoldstackers, my entry / Re-blog lottery!
Yesterday @silverd510 put up a challenge to the #silvergoldstackers community to share your favorite piece in your collection. I've always loved Morgan silver dollars since I was young and my Dad got me hooked on them! Now the coin I'm sharing isn't the most flashy or nicest coin I own, but it's my favorite for purely sentimental reasons. This was the first Morgan that my Dad gave to me so it always held a special place in my heart. I lost my Dad about ten years ago now so it's a nice way to remember him. I carry it around with me in a capsule to protect it, kind of like a good luck charm I suppose. I think I shared it sometime back as well.
About the coin it's 1896 Philadelphia mint Morgan dollar. It's ungraded and it will stay that way, eventually it will be passed down to my son. Overall a nice solid Morgan that still looks great.
Now it's definitely not as sexy as the $10 gold Indian coin that @silverd510 shared, that coin is a stunner. My second favorite is a gold coin I've been meaning to share, I don't have it with me but I'll have to pull up some pictures one of these days. It's very cool!

yes it is supposed to be that command only. I have not seen their dicord server yet, incase there has been any changes happening on the command.
I don't go on discord much anymore, I usually have better things going on so I'm never up to date on those kind of changes!
I have yet to hear of this challenge but will be sure to find it and give it a go

I remember you posting about this Morgan and the wonderful story behind it. It is a sure thing it would be your favorite. It is also a very nice coin too.
Really haven't picked out a favorite of mine. Not sure I have one yet. I can't pick just one.
It's tough to choose, I do have my "favorites" but those are locked up tight for the most part. This one is the only one I carry around, it's not horribly valuable except to me!

I am at a point with my collection I need to start considering a good safe or location to lock things up. Your Morgan looks like it is in decent condition to me, at little scraped up from circulation in the pocket, but still great deal of detail to me considering.

Aside from some Peace dollars my father also left me 9 Morgans two of them are in great condition and one has a diecrack flaw on it. Gorgeous design on a big coin. And yes I had great memories of my father too.
