😍 How proud I am of seeing change...

Hello everyone! Are you prepared for another #HPUD? It is in less than 24 hours!

HPUD starts in...

Back in this post, I have expressed my opinion about current prices, Hive inflation and DHF payments proposals' impact on the price of Hive. And I can say that I am happy some people changed their proposals. I know, it's not going to solve everything, but it demonstrates how a community-driven blockchain should work. For me, it was mostly what I desired.

I have also (after that post) learned lots from everyone's comments. And in my informed opinion now, I can say that I definitely believe the current prices would not necessarily go nuts (up) with zero spending from the DHF, but depending on how long that process would be in effect, it would create a little pressure for the prices to go up for sure.

But, on the other hand, the proposals would probably stop most of the activities. And that would probably have more drastic consequences long-term. I know, I know... It's still a lot of printing... but then we approach a price that starts attracting investment. And I think that it's what I am starting to see. Because of AI or not.

The point should instead be... "are the proposals you are voting, bringing money or investment into Hive?" - and if not, then that's the part that has to change.

There is also another benefit (with low prices) that I never considered until a few weeks ago. Which is... curation and author rewards on posts/comments. Why? With low prices, the minimum prices for HIVE payouts are greatly reduced, and that makes curation especially hard at low prices because the amount of HP you need to curate effectively is a lot more! Hence, people either need to acquire more HP in order to keep curating, or their APR on curation goes away!

In short, if you want to be a part of this, keep powering up HIVE. Lower prices will either filter some people or pause them until prices are good again. But back then, everyone that has been working on their stake it will have made a huge difference. Obviously, this has to be a temporary "problem" because if the prices become too low permanently, it can prompt exchanges to drop HIVE, and that will hurt us a bit.

I think we will survive this period. Especially when seeing HBD Stabiliser working so well, it shows me that the investors on HBD APR will probably double down once prices go up. This, of course, is my own analysis. I still don't enjoy dissolving HIVE price with inflation, but given I am prepared to play the "forever" game, I am fine with that if that brings some other advantages.

That's my view.

🤑 I have bought 100 NZD worth of HIVE

And while these prices keep like this, I will probably do it every month at least. The target is to power up at least 1k HIVE every month. And tomorrow I will do it!

Don't worry, I will top up for the 1k minimum always!

Not going to be letting go of this opportunity to become a part of a much larger future. As much as it might look decieving the lower prices and the mega illusion via inflation. Don't be fooled... the chain is actually getting "more alive!" than you may think.

This is another big, huge phase that people in crypto understand, and if you are smart enough, you can scoop really big outcomes out of it. Yes, it does block a few things because of price, but if we have the right people around, this will be a phoenix state reborn.

I also have to remind everyone to vote for witnesses. AND PROPOSALS! On the Discord Witnesses TownHall, I got the impression that people still don't want to make that like almost a priority 2 on the participation on this chain (being priority 1, security of your keys).

👉 A 1, 2, 3 exercise for you!

  1. Vote for Witnesses (you should know which one I am...) - if you don't know how to check, please ask, as I need to know if people know how to search for these things (not just because of myself, but for ANY witness).
  2. Vote for at least ONE Proposal you think will bring value to Hive! (even if that's the return proposal)
  3. Change your recovery account to someone you trust! In real life! Or mention you have it to the right one.

Comment below about the actions you have taken. I will verify and curate those actions!

🧐 Latest updates have been Super Mega Exciting! 😏

Especially, but not limited to, the @peakd recently showcased some amazing updates! The MOST AMAZING ONE for me is the subscription one!

Try on this post if you want, and every time anyone comments on this post, you will be notified. It's probably the most valuable addition I have ever wanted for a long time and never realised! You can "unsubscribe" at any time (aka if it becomes too noisy for you).

Another feature that I don't know how recent is... is this one from @ecency...

This kind of information is crucial from the fron't ends for you to adjust the way you interact with your crowd. In case it matters to you, of course. For me, it matters because sometimes I want to be more effective.

On the AI front, there has been an explosion of news... and I am seeing SOOOooo many more people creating things that interact with Hive. Including myself... that was, trying to play with a few projects, but then others are just SO MUCH faster than me. And I actually prefer to test and curate, rather than create/develop. So, I will play my part when up to my standard! Nothing wrong with that.

This is Replit, and you can (if you want) use it for free... note it has usage limitations but can achieve quite a lot of stuff...

I am not sure if I am going to publish any of the above, because there are just TOO MANY people now doing things, and I think my place is better off curating things than creating. I am focusing on how to more effectively bring things to the surface, so they are discoverable by others than anything else. I think that's probably one of the things I can help with for free (for now), so I will try to sort out these kinds of marketing for developments I really enjoy!

For example, @vaipraonde developed this super cool Matrix Hive transactions stream viewer... that I absolutely adore! You can check the open source code here.

https://x.com/forkyishere/status/2027272873271079211

Or for the core geeks! The ASCII mode, which I absolutely love.

Here is a video of it working... https://peakd.com/hive-181335/@forkyishere/e01252e9

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Another example is the recent work from @beggars, which went completely all over the place once I shared it... 🫠

It all started on this post here... but then once you show off things, they get to another level. Thanks to everyone interested in helping, by the way. Special thanks to @katerinaramm for all the support and excitement.

To everyone, play with moderation, please!

And by the way, you can also now access it via Peakd here: https://peakd.com/snaps/snaps/newest/hivepredict

https://hivepredict.app/markets

I have also played with @rafiki on the inLeo community and created an AI "reimagine" image of myself... You need Premium in order to do this.

https://inleo.io/threads/view/forkyishere/re-leothreads-2n3nzjf4q

There are a lot of other things I haven't been able to explore on the Leo side of things. But I will over time...

Then, last (on this topic), I reserved my latest efforts on trying to do something I really enjoy, on the @threespeak arena. The "world of playing" (aka being far away from everyone) with the encoder has kept me busy trying to help however I can... and given I am very far away from most people, this kind of help usually comes with its perks. Aka problems :D which I love to troubleshoot and help with if I can...

These results are NOT because of me, but instead because of how decentralised development/testing works, and... IT'S JUST GETTING BETTER!

If you want to play and try to help with this, have a look at https://github.com/Mantequilla-Soft/3speakencoder

🎲🎮🕹️ GAMES Games GAAAMMMESS!!

Oh boy, I have been all over the place again... so I am going to just mention the new findings... that I have been participating... and I know LOTS is incoming! Not from me...

But existing ones keep here... keep showing some love to them if you can.

Right... so again, from @beggars, the first game that got my attention was the https://hive-ships.com one... You might have seen me playing with @meno, for example... and it went quite nicely. A few bumps, but after @beggars quickly resolved them, we did a nice run where I was able to destroy all ships from @meno.

https://x.com/forkyishere/status/2025760590464217298

Then, a few days later (totally unrelated), I was commenting on a post from @coldbeetrootsoup, thinking this was the same game, and because they had invited me to play a game, I was all up for it, but then discovered this was in fact ANOTHER game!

You can play it here: https://hive.coldbeetrootsoup.com

And I have managed to win this one too... maybe I should do this by profession? LOL

https://x.com/forkyishere/status/2026973963075903638

In a nutshell, both games seem the same, but they have slightly different rules. Play and find out which one you like most. I am happy to be invited to any game.

Is this the preface of more games arriving at Hive? I think yes! The AI tools/agents are really making it super easy, and wherever you search for information on an AI tool, Hive will be known there!

Just try it... You will learn and enjoy how surprisingly easy it can become.

🍺 BEER time

Damn... this was a very long one... I have warned you!

The storm is not yet over, but we keep doing tons of things! I will surely keep exploring and teaching.

😊 Forkyou™ in the next one 😉

I would be delving through my new API node, but I think it needs more work... even if I can enjoy now speedy transactions from New Zealand. You are welcome to use it if you wish.

Thanks for reading (don't forget the governance tasks above)

nice curation, and yes, you should publish it. go ahead. even with free vercel link. is good for practice.

you made a movie, nice, hive is quietly lataly, sometimes you cant read without filter.

tks to include my tool. right now, i was publishing it to npm, just to have one published... use it for years, never pubished none.

i loved hive market. i dont like to bet, but like to help testing. hoping they get viral, cause people like to bet and polemics. lets go hive.

Cool updates. Good to see that there is still a lot development going on despite the low price of Hive.

I've noticed most of the updates you mentioned. The comment notifier from PeakD is cool, but I like the post notifier even better.

Quite a few new things for me here, will have to check most when I'm at my laptop. Very excited to check it out!
Pretty sure I have voted for both proposals and witnesses, also the ATX one 😄

The subscribe feature isn't entirely new, is it? Maybe a new placement, but I'm pretty sure I've enabled it before.. by accident though, but it may have been on ecency 🤔

I thought about implementing this into my own frontend too, but I'm not sure if it's overkill or not. Another thing I find more important is the mute/ban function I mentioned in my latest snap

The one for the users poss, I think it's not new, but the one on the post comments, I think it was announced on the last post I indicated.

And yeah, all the experiences kind of change completely with these features.

I voted for witness's but still can't change my recovery account as it's the dbuzz and i know dbuzz team is currently not active so i think i need to change my recovery account....

Yeah that's a nice time to get some more hives and stick to the Blockchain and make more value of our account

You don't need the recovery account to change your account recovery person. All you need is your owner's private key. But you should change it then, to someone that is still on the chain (frequently or you know personally and can reach out).

The Recovery account can't do anything to your account (without you first initiating the process). And you still need to have owner keys to initiate the process.

You can change your recovery account on peakd, for example if you are using that front end.

Let me know if you need more guidance.

This is truly a moment of uncertainty, but honestly, Hive is holding strong, and I believe it can navigate this bear market well. We have many competent people within our community, and that is something very positive.

For me, this is a moment of opportunity, and soon I intend to increase my participation in Hive even more. My goal for this year was to reach 50k HP by December, but to be honest, prices are very attractive right now, and I might buy enough to reach that number still this month.

Additionally, the updates have been amazing. It’s really great to see all of this happening here.

Focusing on building or something in that area, if you can... this is probably going to be the place where things will influence the direction short/medium term. Because it will create good noise and people outside the chain will feel its a cheap entry, and because Hive is cheap, they will get hooked.

I still would love to see some core features changes on the DHF that might help with the participation aspect and more deliberately "voting". Because if everyone does the basic tasks of being on this chain, things would change more rapidly.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree it was very long, have to find a better way to separate things as I am usually in a "dump" process, and it's difficult to clear our during the writing (for me). But maybe I can use some AI after I am done to help just structure things and not change any text, or just adapt when I am doing transitions or referencing things from above.

Make a suggestion on their GitHub issues, or on their Discord, or if you are handy with code, nothing prevents you to go do a PR submition.

Ah, ok... then it explains.

Not all UI's and not all formats will be represented the same way everywhere, so it's sort of hard to please everyone if you know what I mean.

But did that picture "alternative" headings where you would be able to click on them (you can try Peakd for yourself). Would it make it better in your opinion?

It's just a lot of things, and while the market is very low, it presents other challenges.

Although the fact that idiots voting will need more Hive staked... has been quite a nice thing. I can't quantify, but I recall seeing a lot more circle voting, and now there might be too, but at least they need more HIVE to keep doing it.

If the price will ever go up, buying now (or being active in general) is going to be a great move... problem is, if the price won't go up (or if it won't go up enough once it will have stopped going down 😅). But I'm here for the long run, so not a problem I'm thinking it too much right now...

About the exercise: already voting a lot of witnesses (including you, of course!), some proposals which I believe bring value (+ the return proposal) and changed my recovery account some monthes ago :)

From the gaming perspective (which is always one of my main perspective 🤣), it’s nice to see some different games popping out again: there's a lot of asyncronous games that have the potential to be hosted on Hive, so I hope to see many more to come!

I think prices will prove something very nice to the Hive community. I want to see that... (I know it's not short-term) - needs people to create that "level of knowledge" that anyone or a great portion of people on Hive can teach.

Then everyone on Hive will look like developers... and then investors get crazy because of that, because they can create their businesses with imense of capacity to build.

So, in essence, the thing we want to build is the capability of building! Show off, etc... if we can do whatever anyone can do, others will come for the free stuff (akak unlimited amount of scale transactions!)

This was a really long post! I still need to figure out how to convert fiat into crypto without undergoing KYC. I also think HIVE has the potential to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. However, this probably won't happen until bitcoin reaches 250k.

Its getting harder and harder, because everything that connects to crypto nowadays has to be controlled.

Best bet is P2P... but you might need some weird ways of doing it.

Or very weird ways like, for example paying for expenses of the other person... at exchange of HIVE. Big whales might be ok doing this. If you meet one, invite them for lunch, pay the meal, and ask for their side in HIVE or HBD :D

ATX Hi, I love your enthusiasm and how positive you are about Hive. It gives me hope and motivates me. I don't want to lose Hive; I feel so good here. I wish Hive were reasonably priced, not for my sake or the rewards, but so I wouldn't have to keep reading negative things. I want things to go back to how they were before, without worries, just seeing happy people writing and blogging.

0

And we will. Once BTC goes up, we will too, so trying to get as much HIVE before that, will be a very good strategy IMO.

Also, nothing is preventing Hive to go up because of a sort of explosion of attendance. The more time passes, the better the use cases apply, and this is just looking at what things kept going and which ones left.

The biggest product we might have in the near term, is data! Data for MILLIONs of people to use, market, produce products from, etc... the AI brought that "extra" to Hive, given we are not just a transactional ledger, but also a massive database, that AI lovesssss to eat.

Right now, almost ALL LLMs know about Hive. And this power will exacerbate the value of Hive. So, this might be actually be a unique time for Hive. The fork was the first, this will be the second I recon...

Happy for motivating people. I try do the same on real life, but I am not as good as in here. 😅😱😜

Enjoy the day :)

So, thanks to AI technology that likes to consume data, there's a high probability that Hive will be seen? And what is LLM?

0
0
0.000
avatar

LLM - Large Language Model - Its the program that is configured to read and train on a very large dataset, for a long time. Can be an one-off thing, or continuous... And then it can be used for inference (questioning) which is usually what "us" users ask to it.

The Data is the secret sauce, because without access to it, AI not useful. Because Hive is open source and everything in it is visible (except encrypted memos), LLMs can train on the blockchain data, which because its all about social things... it has extreme value for companies to produce products, its users would like to consume.

Example:
Imagine I now want to find out if there is anyone on Hive that ever talks about Supercomputers... but they might not have used the word "Supercomputer" or might have just talked about a specific component that I don't know yet the name, so I can't really search for it.

If I feed the blockchain data into an LLM, I can then ask the "agent" that interacts with that LLM, for it to return any post on Hive that is specifically talking about HPC (High performance computing) or Supercomputers models or parts.

And it generally works. Example using Grok... the folllowing output is copy pasted from Grok to here... so you see the power of these things.

Yes, there are definitely people on Hive who talk about supercomputers—and not just using the exact word. Multiple users have posted directly about them (definitions, advantages, real-world examples like Nvidia's AI supercomputers or IAGON's decentralized blockchain-powered one), and many more discuss the underlying concepts and hardware without always saying "supercomputer."This includes High Performance Computing (HPC) setups, building personal clusters (essentially DIY mini-supercomputers), scientific applications that need massive parallel processing, and specific components like GPUs, high-speed interconnects, processors, cooling systems, and multi-node architectures.Direct examples using the term "supercomputer"@randallnewton
has written several detailed posts, including one on Dell commoditizing supercomputers and turning them into more accessible hardware (comparing it to what they did with PCs). Another covers Dell EMC winning a University of Michigan contract for the "Great Lakes" cluster and specifics on the Pitzer Cluster at Ohio State (528 Intel Xeon Gold processors, 64 Nvidia Tesla V100 GPUs, EDR InfiniBand networking for ultra-fast data transfer, and liquid cooling).

hive.blog

@forexperformance, @sabbirkhan
, and @leoglossary
have posts defining supercomputers, their OS/cooling needs, advantages/disadvantages, and how they rank in power.

hive.blog

Others cover Nvidia building massive AI supercomputers or projects like IAGON as a "global supercomputer" on decentralized/blockchain tech.

testnet.peakd.com

Without the exact word (but clearly about supercomputer-level tech/components)@travelingmercies posted a series on planning and designing their own Beowulf-style cluster computer (multiple nodes for grand computing power). They discuss hardware like Raspberry Pi 3s (quad-core 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM each), power hubs, Ethernet networking, custom racks, and why it's needed for research-level work. This is classic entry-level supercomputing/cluster building.
@dexterdev
ran an 18-day molecular dynamics simulation on a university HPC facility (128 nodes, 1024 cores, Intel Xeon processors). They detail PBS scripts, time steps (2 femtoseconds), system size (DMPC lipid bilayer in water), and scaling up—pure HPC/supercomputer usage without always labeling it as such.

hive.blog

Posts on high-speed interconnects (e.g., InfiniBand or Mellanox HDR 200 Gb/s for faster data movement in clusters), liquid cooling, GPU acceleration in massive systems, and even market overviews of the HPC industry appear regularly.

ecency.com

Bonus contextThere's also chatter around HIVE Digital Technologies (the crypto/AI company, ticker HIVE), which has been expanding into GPU-based data centers and AI/HPC workloads—some Hive users post about that angle too, tying blockchain to supercomputing-scale power. These aren't super common daily topics (Hive is more crypto/DeFi-focused overall), but there are consistent posters like @randallnewton
who clearly follow the supercomputing/HPC world closely, plus occasional deep dives from tech/science users. If you want to explore:Head to peakd.com (or ecency.com) and search terms like "supercomputer", "HPC", "cluster computing", "InfiniBand", "Beowulf", or follow the users above.
Hive even has community tools like HiveSearcher or hiveSQL for more advanced filtering.

If you have a specific component in mind (e.g., "InfiniBand networking", "liquid cooling systems", "GPU clusters for AI", "quantum interconnects", or whatever you're thinking of), drop the name—I can hunt for exact posts or discussions about it on Hive. Or if you'd like me to pull full content from one of these posts/users, just say which!

I think the more people learn, the more people will find the value of all this.

It does hurt a bit to have these prices... but eventually the amount of people that decides to keep staying will become bigger than the ones leaving. And once we hit that moment, Hive will have what I call the big boom, in terms of users and in terms of price. For us to be ready for that moment, a LOT of people need to have enough education so that instead of fighting each other, we are focused on our users. Because if loose that opportunity like in the past, a new cycle will continue and we will arrive again to something like where we are right now.

And then it depends on how well specific core blockchain people can help shape the future. Large scale community works best in large scale quantities...

We will get there I am sure.

Congratulations @forykw! You received a personal badge!

You powered-up at least 1000 HP on Hive Power Up Day and got the biggest Power-Bee!
See you at the next Power Up day to see if you will repeat this feat.
May the Hive Power be with you!

Greetings, sir. It's true, now is the time to power up like never before. Taking advantage of these low prices and increasing our HP is a huge benefit. I'm glad you're doing so much for Hive and your ATX projects. I don't have much time for games, but I'll check them out as soon as I can. Best of luck, and I'll see you around.

I should know right... I don't even know how I have time for this. I guess my wife is a God, and hopefully my kids' lifestyle one day will not suggest to them to kill me for spending so much time around computers and kind of, making them like those too.

I try to protect them, and therefore, they don't know much of what I do here. But maybe one day they might discover "why was dad so many times on the PC" ;D

Anyhow, I do this as a hobby, not because I need to get funds from it.

And because I enjoy teaching and learning about new stuff too.

By the way... no more "sir" please ;D makes me feel so old! LOLOL...

"You" is my main go for... I hope that's fine for you too. I usually ask before assuming, but I sometimes get excited and forget about manners when calling people "too much directly". But it is all due to how used I got to New Zealand simplicity.

Or if you want to call me by my name, you can use Jose.

There you go... now all you need is to not be powering down when I go do the draw after this post curation.

Good luck!

Hi, I'm signing up for the ATX. The Hive market is a bit bleak right now, but I think it will improve in the long run. I'm going to keep accumulating Hive cards in the meantime; I have a goal I want to reach this year. !BBH

Hello, I have two goals regarding HP.
The first is to reach the dolphin level.
The second is a little more ambitious and is based on #hivefocus, which is to increase my HP by 5,000 Hive in a year.

Greetings, blessings, and good health to you and your family. I'm glad to hear that you're taking precautions at Hive to improve things. That gives me confidence and reassurance that we're in a good place.

Its a pleasure. One of the reasons I enjoy this community is because of those who wish to learn.
