PowerUp Day ๐Ÿ’ช Delegation Giveaway

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿ’ฅ Engagement is Required โ—โ—

๐Ÿ˜ Less than 45 days to HiveFestยนโฐ!

I can't even believe it's getting this close, and to be honest, I haven't even noticed the time passing. So many things in parallel that the transparency of what you do gets completely blurred if you don't stop to think about it. 2025 is being a fricking year I will never forget.

For all that has happened, and for the things still to be happening... which is even crazier to think about it's not yet over.

What the hell am I speaking about? Well, I "build" Supercomputers! Figuratively, because most of the rack and stack is the vendor obviously, but aside from that, it's us who choose mostly all the pieces, almost like building Lego, and this year I can say I have done the first one entirely on my own rules. And the feeling you get from doing something you call, this is the right way, is mega different.

Many years ago, when I immigrated to New Zealand, I came to work to operate the IBM Power 575 (similar to the one in the picture). And at the time, those kinds of Supercomputers were quite monolithic and static, because most of the things were designed and built to operate within a single mode. You can read more about these old ones here.

Nowadays, these still exist, but price-wise, things are WAY more expensive when compared to years ago, and they still mandate you have to switch every 3 to 5 years, otherwise you fall behind something that is useless for computing purposes and super inefficient (mostly because of how quickly ASICs evolve). Hence, and obviously in my view, "Supercomputers" are evolving, and their designs are adapting to shorter increments of changes, and because of that, the decisions on the way they need to work change substantially.

Did I do this one alone? No... NO WAY! Impossible, almost at any (more than a rack) scale. These can only happen with amazing Teams that make it all possible... and it's only because of cooperative effort that we can do what we can.

Kind of recalls me Hive in a sense, because it's all the same in terms of Human beings and the way we strive to get things done and protect what is dear to us.

Anyhow, all alone, that was just one of the many things of 2025. Although one that consumed (and is still consuming) a lot of time.

Having said that, I am excited for HiveFest. I haven't yet purchased my ticket, but I will, and I want to do it with Hive (as it symbolises something for me). Probably something for the next post.

Meanwhile, make sure you are touching the sand...

๐Ÿค” Discoveries in progress

Grass Project

Recently, I have been trying to find more about this "Grass" project... that many of you apparently already knew about. Not because of the rewards necessarily, but because it's something in the domain of research using AI inference that I am starting to have to support at work, too.

(Architecture Overview)

Please don't follow this if you are just interested in rewards, as from the general public perspective, this project looks like a Scam thing, because people feel urged that everything has to pay dividends. And according to what I found so far, they did one Airdrop to the people who collected points during the first phase, and they are saying their second Airdrop will be by the end of 2025.

I found this recently... so I am going to leave it here for anyone wanting to get more details:

https://x.com/Sgt_Lazo/status/1908147215295508694

Take things with a bit of salt, and always try to learn from these things.

It has referrals because they need as many people as possible, in order to get the biggest computational "machine". Use mine if you want: https://app.grass.io/register/?referralCode=ZBTnTzyJEv7gmyn

This app consumes a bit of memory and a few GBs (under 10 according to some users I saw reporting) of Internet data per month. It's almost irrelevant for home use; hence, if you are, for example, constantly on wireless networks, you don't need to worry about it.

WeWard Project

A couple of you might have seen posts from me on X, about this app called WeWard, where you can use the steps from your sensors, phone, etc, to get some "coins". The usual incentive app for fitness, but without a TON of Ads. There is currently an Ad once per day, but if you have to compare with many others, this is almost non-bothering material. You can get like up to 25 cents per day if you run/walk regularly, but you can only withdraw all the "coins" after you reach 3000 coins (around 30 NZD in my case).

There are other ways to get more rewards, but in my view, it's just a loss of time.

The app is not widely available, so many of you might not be able to even install it, but for the ones that can, please join up (even if you are not doing any walking, it will help having more and more people in the group, because that creates momentum when others look at it).

This is a phone app, so, not intended for a Desktop if you don't have a phone. It also has referrals, and if you use them, you get 150 coins at the start (1.5 NZD in terms of value): https://wewardapp.go.link/kWXdT?label=CautiousToad3648

I also get 50 coins, and the moment I have enough to withdraw to PayPal, I am going to buy some Hive!

Either way, I didn't go there for the rewards. Instead because I know some people like these apps, me going there and starting a sort of movement was something I wanted to test to see if it could easily get some exposure for Hive. And if they come into Hive, they might find @actifit pays even more than WeWard (I think, it has been a while).

The app also has a sinking model for the coins they award you, by making you feel excited about collecting "cards". When you finish some collections, you can also get rewards and sometimes coins.

I have published a post the other day on @forkyishere and if you want any of those cards, let me know on that post here.

You can also do all sorts of other things, like playing games, doing surveys, etc, to get more coins. It's up to you how you want to spend your time. They all work as far as I could test some (as I call it, it's WC time, LOL).

So that's what I have started. Created the Hive Blockchain Community that you can join too! Go to the Communities tab on the app (top right) and then select "+ Join" and use the code "HIVE.10" to join the community.

When you join, you have the choice to select how much % of your rewards/coins you want to donate to the community. I am cooking something for what to do with these, as you can only withdraw after 200k coins. So maybe some kind of contest where I can buy HIVE with these rewards, and then distribute to the respective accounts on Hive... by their ranking on donated rewards?

I am still thinking about it...

There you go, it's a simple way to create exposure in other parts of the world, on web2.0 stuff, without doing much, and at the same time keeping you fit for some cents.

They are still very early-stage businesses, and they keep changing the UI quite a lot and some mechanics on how Rankings are showing, but so far, not bad at all app. And after I reach the last League, maybe I can start getting some sort of real exposure. Let's see...

Join up if the app is available in your country, and say hello! Helps me a lot and only costs you some time. Don't worry if you don't want to donate to the community. The important part is the exposure.

๐Ÿง ATX Updates ๐Ÿ˜

Besides the changes on the giveaway already announced in the last post, the recent changes are that we now have another 500k ATX issued to the ATX:SWAP.HIVE pool rewards as planned. There are 3 years left of rewards in this pool, and 2 more issuing distributions left in this phase.

So far, this is going quite stable, thanks to you all. By now, it should be more noticeable that I have designed things to reward stability. I expect more selling pressure from now on, but at the same time, I am not worried, because the way it works is that the selling pressure is compensating the long-term supporters (even if the token price reduces). So, my envisioning was that even if that happens, whoever stays gets the end rewards of accumulating ATX. Whatever value that might be.

And at this point, there are also more pools, so the flow of the economics might change. I am not wishing to control much, just making adjustments for the long-term stability, and eventually it will be on its own. If I get zero from all this, it's fine. I will mostly try to cover some costs of the implementation, and that's it.

I am also thinking of enabling staking, but for the other upcoming changes to the giveaway. Basically, gamifying via the token staking for those who want to be enabled for large delegations of HP when they win. Acting as a "booster" of how much you can get in case you win. It will also help a little with token stability. Eventually, I would like to attach more gamification to the staked ATX, but I haven't yet thought about it.

๐ŸŽฒ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ GAMES Games GAAAMMMESS!!

Time for these has been diminishing... so frustrating. But recently, I have started playing Universe 2 of the MOON game. If you like oGame style game, this is the one for you.

The interesting part of this game is that it makes use of some "strategy" modifications in order to make the rules of the game more interesting. So, make sure you read these posts from @ecoinstant before you assume it's just a normal oGame thing.

Just a quick reminder for the ones reading these posts... oGame has Universes (last game was on 1, which still exists and is playable, and this new one is on Universe 2).

Each Universe has "Galaxies" (usually 9). Players usually start on Galaxy 1 and can colonise other galaxies... Each Galaxy has 150 "Solar Systems" with each up to 13 Planets.

The Emergency above is on Galaxy 1 of Universe 2. Good luck!

๐Ÿบ BEER time

Right, it's almost that time of the "post", but before urging everyone to think about the #HPUD tomorrow (don't forget you need to HPUD to be eligible for this post giveaway), I need to share a couple of last things and one magnificent one found in New Zealand.

First, some acknowledgements of how fun it was to join NFTOPIA (https://nftopia.weebly.com) a couple of weeks ago and have some pew pew fun with @mickvir (check his post here) and others. I unfortunately lost the first day, because I literally fell asleep from how tired I was from work. But I managed to stay awake on the second day, and it was enough to recall and taste a bit of how fun it was a few years ago at the virtual @hivefest events.

I think we should try again one day... either that or "add" virtual mode to the current IRL ones. For the ones that can attend presently, this would not change much in my view (but maybe I am wrong).

The second thing was a week after (last week basically), on https://hive-summit.com, where I was also able to be at the event, both participating and listening to it, and this timezone was more favourable to me, hence I could hang out for more time. You can watch the videos on YouTube (HERE).

I only realised this event was so accessible later; otherwise, I would have made a bit more effort in distributing it across German crowds. I know it was a small size one, but that's how all these things start. It was great to see familiar faces again... if you browse through the videos on YouTube.

And I have some homework to do (over https://offchain.lu), before I get to @hivefest and meet/chat with @sorin.cristescu, who is going there too (and was on this Hive Summit event too), and explore some stuff around this initiative (check @offchain-lux) that was on my list for a while and actually has lots of things I identify myself with, and were sources of inspirations for the ATX movement. Lots to catch up.

The last and most important thing... is this...

No, it's not the tea... It's the "Pastel de Nata" that my wife found at New World supermarket in New Zealand. And oh boy they are deliciously very similar to the ones in Portugal. These are actually produced in Portugal and shipped across the world (literally).

If you get your hands on one of these, make sure you follow the instructions. Really makes a difference because these are meant to be frozen before you start throwing some heat, because if you unfreeze them and leave them in the freezer, they will feel different, especially the custard part.

I have been re-living my early mornings when I was in Portugal, waking up, grabbing one Pastel de Nata on my way to work and then watching the sunrise while enjoying it with a long warm espresso.

Never forget the cinnamon on top! ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ˜Š Forkyouโ„ข in the next one ๐Ÿ˜‰

The timer countdown hopefully reflects how much time you have left for the HPUD.

The thing is... You can do both... You can even have, for that matter 10 apps on the phone and use the same daily steps to gain rewards for all of them.

Although until this happens, there will be a huge amount of people continuing to do apps for ads... because they know people can use their steps for that kind of thing.

I remember when 1 ATX was like 1.8 HIVE.
Personally I kept buying when the price was falling to about 1 HIVE. In hindsight, I should have waited, but I don't really care.
Will most likely have the liquidity pool position for years to come, unless I mess up somehow (which is not ruled out...)

Buddy, I hope you have the best time at the HiveFest! Due to ongoing circumstances, my hope of going has been put out ๐Ÿค

Appreciate all the support. I don't judge anyone... I am prepared for everyone to quit tomorrow if that has to happen. This was and is an open experiment I want to hopefully prove helpful for Hive, doing so will make me stay here for more than 20 years (at least).

Would love to delve more into these things... Hopefully, @hivefest one day will be in Denmark, and I will get there to continue this conversation.

Honestly, with all the ongoing stuff about Hive core vs. other teams, I've already started thinking about just leaving the chain. But there's too many people I talk with here, so I can't really do that.

Ooohh, wouldn't that be awesome!
I believe such an event here would spark a huge interest in the chain in a country (or more than just 1 country) where the chain isn't very widely spread. Win win situation ๐Ÿ˜

I have family in Denmark. He was an idol to me... no more with us for some years. But I have memories of photos and old movies from things in there I want to visit. Just to settle those out...

One day.

That is a long update. Will be powering up some 30+ Hive tomorrow, as this is roughly what I can save during a month from different side projects. The HBD is going all to be staked, as it is the really passive high returning project out in the field.

Similar to my stance on Hive... I won't quit.. while I believe and like the way I see this technology going nuts!
